Thats still the problem I HAVE to play a certain way to earn an item and then have to do other stuff to get the stuff I actually want.
Cores should be an afterthought.
Do a nightfall get 15 cores. Do a weekly milestone get 2 cores. I should be able to infuse what I want when I want so the games focus becomes acquiring gear instead of acquiring trinkets to help my gear.
The only reason I think they havent gone this route is because the loot pool is so minimal and there isnt that much to chase that moving in that direction would expose that at a much more obvious level.
Which is why this game isnt doing well you have a looting game where there isnt enough loot. I havent played since the Izanami forge unlock fiasco. I wont jump through stupid hoops to play something that should just be unlocked. It doesnt feel remotely rewarding unlocking it either. Why they didnt just make it complete the level 2 forge 5 times to unlock the level 3 one? It is insane to me that Bungie thinks players enjoy doing stupid tasks to simply unlock something and then you earn rewards until after its unlocked.
At this point the game is what it is so instead of trying to force and dictate how we play the game how about just constantly rewarding the players for actually playing.
