If we get to another 4k comments telling the studio how awful "meaningful infusion" is and why we hate it and have stopped playing because of it, can we get another thread asking to discuss this more?

The crazy thing is that the daily player numbers in the Annual Pass Era get as low as they did during the D2Y1/CoO Era, but then Bungie was on the “we’re listening, we’re talking, and we’re making the changes you want” path. Now the devs in that department are just straight up refusing to listen to the players, no matter the costs, for a reason we may never actually know. It sucks.

No one left because of cores mainly because the game just isn’t fun anymore
-
Cores are a part of the reason why the game is no longer fun. As long as you don't have to interact with infustion or progression, the game is still fun.
-
Well no that would of been the case since forsaken but this population drop only happened near the mid of ba. I mean I'm sure some left because of cores but most left due to lack of content ( not so popular drifter wild).
No one left because of cores mainly because the game just isn’t fun anymore
The communication in general, cores are just the most glaring example.

But, but, but, but I thought Activision being gone would change them! Oh wait, I called this happening. Shocker, Bungie are the shit lords. Not Activision. Who would have guessed?
-
Why would they change something that's already In the code. Dont remove something that isn't broken. Instead work to improve its economy. I highly doubt this will change due to the fact that their core team is no longer working on d2.

Blithering idiot.

The daily player numbers were never this low in the first month of CoO or Warmind. Both those expansions still saw players come back and then they eventually dropped off again, but this is different. Literally no one came back for SotD. The population actually dropped the first week it released. Even BA didn't drop to 600k until the final week or so. The games been averaging about 550k this season.

Feb 28th lowest PVP pop at 191k. March 6th lowest PVE pop at 457k (this was Season if the drifter launch week). Both of these are days during the Annual Pass.
-
Now 400k pvp 600k pve. I do believe that not much was going on at the beginning of launch until more content was released. Also I've haven't seen those number that low since difter wild. I call bs on this one. I mean even the current numbers isn't as great as when forsaken was released.

You’re taking the PVP number from Destiny Tracker, which is inflated by Gambit which they count twice once in PVE and once in PVP. Other trackers count just crucible so you don’t even have the correct numbers. 2) You believe wrong. Launch week was the first new content in over a month, the debut of Gambit Prime, a 50 light increase, and 2 tiers of Reckoning. 3) I said they were the lowest of the Annual Pass Era (but match up with the Curse of Osiris Era of D2Y1. Try keeping up with the conversation if you’re going to pipe in. The numbers haven’t been that low in Seaosn 6, but they haven’t been good, and they have never come close to the over a million in Forsaken or over 2 million in Age of Triumph and Rise of Iron in Destiny.

Agreed except for one thing. There was a brief spike right at the beginning of SotD....but it was extremely short-lived. Then people hung around to get the pinnacle weapons. But now I think we're seeing that most people have those....and engagment numbers are starting to tank. But you're right. The only time numbers got this low during Year 1 ws in the darkest days of Curse of Osiris, and right before Warmind dropped. So numbers wouldn't get this low for almost another month....and in an enviroment where no new content had been been added to the game. several months. But to see this just a few weeks after a new content drop is BAD. Scary bad. Which is why---once again---I'm just stunned that Bungie is letting this pissing contest over Enhancement Cores drag out like this. There is NO scenario here, where this ends well for Bungie, if they don't fix this....and I mean REALLY fix it.

Div2 has been excellent, with a few little bugs here and there. That's just from my experiences with PvE, I've yet to try DZ's or pvp. With borderlands 3 coming in the fall, I think D2 will see numbers drop to record lows. Say all the bad things about gearbox you want, they did a fantastic job with 2 and I know they'll do just as well with 3.

NIPPLE SALADS !!!!!!!!

Deciding your opinion on a game you haven't seen is the pinnacle of fanboy stupidity. Gearbox has been a shit factory for nearly a decade.
Deciding your opinion on a game you haven't seen is the pinnacle of fanboy stupidity. Getting so triggered by my opinion that you had to resort to name calling, seems to say a lot about "the pinnacle of fanboy stupidity", doesn't it?
Judging the success of Borderlands 2 and their lackluster pre-sequel,
Gearbox didn't do the Pre-Sequel. 2K Australia did.

Nothing is going to kill destiny. Been hearing this since 14. Not going to happen. Division 1 was supposed to kill destiny 1 how'd that work out?
-
Bungie already 'killed' Destiny.
-
Of course nothing is gonna kill Destiny. Bungie already killed it.
