What's you opinion of Overwatch?

Curious to see what the destiny/bungie community thinks about this game. I got it used recently and I'm not too crazy about it. It just seems like the gameplay is too casual, definitely not a high intensity game. I haven't really played it enough to say anymore than that. what's your thoughts on Overwatch?

Oh Overwatch. A game that encapsulated my attention when it was first released. I played it a bit on the PS4 around launch when my brother got it, and then bought it on Xbox that same year for my birthday. I really enjoyed it back then. I played it...not as religiously as games like destiny, Skyrim or Diablo (those were games that held my attention through gameplay and story), but it definitely climbed the ranks of games I’d frequent. The lore was mysterious and incomplete. The gameplay was fresh and new and something I wasn’t use to at the time. The characters had life to them. But as time went on, and I started to fall out of it, playing more R6 and destiny 2, the Overwatch scene started to really tumble in my eyes. The gameplay became repetitive, and heroes didn’t seem to be to interesting. The last one I was actually interested in was Moira. A villainous character responsible for who Reaper is today. And as a support main this character really peaked my interest. In my experience, I enjoyed playing her (and other supports). However The newer characters; Brigitte, Hammond, Ashe, Baptiste, they haven’t been able to convey that same level of character as the others had. And the lore....*sigh*....I will be the first to say making soldier:76 a gay character was a bad idea. It felt out of place. Like a cover up for the horrible reception to Diablo eternal. It also comes across as unnecessary for his character. But even without that, the lore hasn’t managed to bring me back in. That’s one thing I love about destiny, it brings me in with its lore. Bungie have got the lore down to a T. It’s complex. It’s strange and weird and the way it’s told allows for stories to be revealed much better compared to Overwatch. Now I realise that could be down to how the company manages based on the differences in game type and genre. Overwatch is an FPS, arena/hero shooter, whereas destiny is an “open world”, “RPG”, FPS. It has story as one of its central points compared to Overwatch which is gameplay based. The story in OW revolves around the gameplay. In destiny they are somewhat separated. I don’t really play comp in either. And my opinions on events in Overwatch is positive for PvE and negative for PvP. Which is weird to say about a PvP game. I jump back in every so often to play events and try out a new character but other than that I have to really want to play it in order to actually play it.
