So the other thread is over, is that it? I guess we'll have to repeat everything all over again in this one.

  • Cores are only an issue for people who REFUSE to adapt to an in game economy and make wise decisions. There are currently so many ways to earn cores without actually grinding for them, and another huge source is being introduced. If the gunsmith works like every other vendor, that 5 guaranteed cores per day, per character, another 2 per week per character. In addition, the mod component reward will relieve the stress of gunsmith mats turning into mod components, which will allow you to turn them into gun for yet more cores from dismantles. At this point, the community is just as stubborn for shouting and whining “remove cores waaaahhhhh” without even trying the new system, as Bungie is for not removing them from infusion.

  • Wide decisions? Haha ha! It’s a game , you feel all responsible about how you spend your cores? That is so funny!!

  • And yet, I’m enjoying a game I find fun, without needless grinding. You are makin foolish choices with your currency, and not enjoying the game. 🤔 Wonder which plan is working out better.

  • Assuming what I do? You are more of a fool than I thought. Think before you reply again, or don’t at all.

How many cores have you pulled from turning in Gunsmith Materials? Or better yet, when was the last time you used gunsmith materials for anything besides infusion or mods? If they’re making the core sources so common and varied as you say, why not just remove the mechanic to begin with? It’s clearly not accomplishing the goal of making infusion a “wise decision” as you have dubbed it, so get rid of it outright and create a better system, no? Also the system has been in place since Forsaken how long do you need to “try it out” before you see that it’s defunct? A few more months? D3 launch? We’ll be up to D20—busy rolling around in-game dice for infusion mats before we get rid of these cores by the looks of it.

  • Lol who turns in materials to banshee anymore? It’s all about the mod components from Ada.

  • Exactly my point. But at some point it was ok to do so if you wanted some shards or something, because it wasn’t a huge deal. Gunsmith materials aren’t too big in infusion what’s the problem right? But he has random rolled weapons in his inventory since forsaken, so suddenly you can get some decent stuff: Erentil for example. They also increased the amount needed to 100 from 50, so it’s more of a deal to get a single gun than before, but they diluted his loot pool with world dropped trash. So nobody bothers anymore.

Wise decisions? What decisions? I've been playing this game since 2014 and Forsaken since last September, I clearly know what gear I want to use, I don't have any WISE decisions to make about it. There's no WISE decision or impact in infusing the gear that we ALREADY choose to use several months ago. What we have is Bungie increasing the Power level every few months while drip feeding us cores to artificially extend playtime.

  • You really think people haven’t tried the system for 7 months? Give me a break

  • How can people try what isn’t out yet? We are talking about the new source to acquire cores. I’ve mathed it out in another thread. 66 infusion per week from guaranteed drops alone. That’s more than anyone should resonably need
