Continued Enhancement Core and Mod Component Discussion
Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47706]TWAB[/url]. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.

6 RepliesHowever you feel about it, roughly 12% of poll participants said they were fine with cores the way they were. That’s a little more than the number of people who came in this thread and said they have enough. So, instead of listening to most of us, Bungie listens to a fraction of us, decides cores are too easy to get and reduces the number of sources? So, one of the arguments against removing cores is that [b]all[/b] of us wanting them gone are [b]somehow[/b] not representative of everyone, somehow, we’re not a valid sample size. And yet, Bungie’s last implementation, which goes [b]far[/b] beyond the pale of what they Last said they’d do, is based on a fraction of the sample size. Pure, unadulterated hubris.

2 RepliesSo you no longer get cores for hawthorn's weekly clan bounty. That was 7 cores per character 21 cores a week. So any crap from bungie about more cores available is pure BS, if anything they have throttled there availability.

I like having extra sources for the cores but, I was getting more from scrapper bounties

2 Repliescan you not raise the amount it takes for infusion? I get we have more bounties (cause we needed those), but for it to take 4 cores when it would’ve normally been 2 to3 is annoying and not everyone was lucky enough to suck the life out of the vendor glitch

So, it now takes more materials and cores to infuse like gun into like gun? Used to cost 5k glimmer. Now it's 4 materials including 2 cores?

So, you’re telling us that you are still discussing enhancement cores after all of this time...(Yes, I know that a sentence should not begin with “so”, but so what...? Discuss that Bungo.)? I’d like to see a transcript of this, “discussion”. I’ve seen divorce settlements reached quicker than this, “discussion “ that has been taking place for some time now. It’s pretty simple if you ask me, which you didn’t because I’m not a streamer and you clearly do not value my, or the base of the communities, opinions. Here goes... I’ll lay it out real simple-like to speed this discussion along into fruition.... Remove them completely. For example... I need zero enhancement cores to infuse an item because they were completely removed. Another example.... I want to upgrade this new sweet piece of gear that I go that is of a lower level than another crappy piece of gear that I have, so I just do it and it requires zero enhancement cores. I could go on, and probably should, to ensure that I provide enough simple examples, but it really doesn’t require a real long discussion, much less the continuation of a discussion....

2 RepliesWhen starting for the base game up to max when starying a new character I found it extremely difficult to infuse anything I got, my first infusion didnt take place to until the first mission of forsaken, not to mention of the three exotics I got I no longer found them usable due to getting blues that exceed their power level by a considerable margin. Cores in no way shape or form provide a useful or meaningful strain on infusion.

As much as I'm [i]for[/i] cores being removed from infusion, has bungie really even listened to anything we've had to say over this? I think at now a little over 573something, and [i][b]no[/b][/i] response from bungie, maybe we should just let it go?

4 RepliesI've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not coming back to this game untill cores are taken out of infusion. I check the forum every now and then to see if it is still a problem and yup EIGHT months of constant complaints later Bungie still refuse to listen, yet a single seasons worth of pvpers pissing about the pinnacle weapons and its nerfhammer time. Bungie, unsticking this post won't make the problem go away.
