Continued Enhancement Core and Mod Component Discussion
Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47706]TWAB[/url]. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.

can you give an example of what the bounties will require? - defeat guardians in the crucible? -get 50 precision kills anywhere? -complete 2 strikes? How many daily bounties will there be? multiple is vague and could be as low as 3 for all we know. weekly bounties should at least reward 2 cores.

I don't mind cores. You get 21 a week guranteed from Hawthorne for 3 hours or less of minimalistic effort. Add on all the other sources for cores and you can net quite the stockpile in a few hours of gameplay per week.

Enhancement core problems are a good distraction from more serious issues. I don’t blame the devs for pretending to ignore the community.

Since the gunsmith has mods can ada sell mods kinda like that where it rotates through different mods weekly it would be nice and if petra could sell the taken mods that'd be awesome to done the last wish countless times and I've only gotten 2 mods from it I understand they are rare but it would be nice to have another way of obtaining those mods. Also the invitation of the nine material drop is it possible to bump the drop rate of the material just a little cause I'm all for grind but going and wiping out both fire bases of cabal and only getting 2 samples seems pretty low. And since you bumped up the drop rate of the dreaming city stuff any way to bump up the forge ship drop been at it since it became a gofannon possible drop and have yet to get it.

Keep the cores- byt have them drop from gameplay itself- not only from dismantling, bounties, and hitting max valor along with infamy. [u]1) Have them drop from Heroic Public Events. Drop 2 each event. It will encourage more to do the events at a heroic level. Drop 5 Shards per heroic event as well[/u] [u]2) After maybe 5 patrols drop 1. [/u] [u]3) After 3 strikes drop 3 cores. [/u] [u]4) If you get a 15 kill streak in crucible drop 1 core.[/u] [u]5) After 3 heroic adventures, drop 3 cores.[/u] [u]6) After 3 gambit or gambit prime matches, drop 2 cores.[/u] [u]7) After a successful t3 reckoning drop 3 cores. This one will encourage more to be in the matchmaking pool- killing another bird with one stone in the process. (matchmaking being terrible due to low counts of people)[/u] This will at least alliviate some of the stress of having a lack of cores and encourage a grind. All the while- people are playing the game. It hits every facet except raids and comp. 22 RepliesRemember all of this when September comes around and they try to sell us the removal of enhancement cores as a reason to buy the new DLC. I have been duped by Bungie one too many times. Too many promises of trying to bring this franchise back to the glory days that have fallen flat, and now this. I have been playing since TDB, and I am officially out. No more Destiny, or Bungie for that matter, for me. Even if everyone says it is the best DLC or game ever, they won’t get another cent from me.

You are working inside a box and we the players dont even like the box. The most of us playing the game you made are not like DATTO and his clan we are just not. And you will need to accept this fact. By that I mean we dont all want more grind, just for the grind of it. If I have to stop my crucible match to go farm something, that is a problem. I'm not sayin im not willing to farm, but what im looking for in resources should be right there and available in the mode i'm playing. There is no problem removing it(enhancement cores), totally from the game. We will just play how 'WE' want to play not the way BUNGIE force us to play. For the last 5 years everytime we got something fun you will say no its broken it dont fit the game and won't let us use it. It would be patch immediately, but you never have that same speed when it comes to things we extremly dislike about the game. Same way yall tought destroying all the advances we made in destiny 1 and nearly destroyed the whole franchise with D2. To me the outcry for removing enhancement cores is huge, so you should've heard this. You must have but you still want to force your ego driven company ways on us. No Bungie. It should not be like this we love you, we are loyal costumers for more than 5 years we know you can do what you want but it should not be this way. Even by giving us this fake opportunity to express ourself, but then you turn around and do exactly the opposite we ask for. Most of us are not blind fan boys, you will not be able the live only on those fanatics. But if you still want to force this on your loving clients! Make sure we get at least 20 enhancement core a day per character through 1 NPC not multiple. But seriously remove it stop believing your stats, just because stats say something dont mean we are doing it out of love but more of Bungie forcing the player to do things he dont like! And it frees up gigabytes so you can do more somewhere else. Better for the economy!
