Dear Bungie, The nerf to bottom tree dawnblade is EXACTLY the problem I have with how you guys "tune" supers. Slaying a ton of ads in pve, making strategic strikes to prolong my super, is what makes me feel, well... SUPER!!! There is no reason to reduce the amount of super energy returned per kill. Destroying waves of scorn in the rift generator pe in the dreaming city is SO MUCH FUN! Now I get why people say Bungie doesn't want people to have fun. You guys are really missing the mark on this one!

  • I agree. Don’t see an issue w bottom tree dawnblade staying as is. Some of these balances I just scratch my head on.

  • If they did it to Spectral Blades + Gwisin, how could you expect it to NOT happen to Dawnblade? Oh, right, because it's not a Hunter subclass! That's right.

  • It's amusing to me that in every game I have ever played, over the course of decades, the guys with the newbie hammers -always- feel put-upon when their hammers are touched in the slightest way - even just an inadequate token nerf like Spectral Blades. Hunter subclasses are the most in need of PvP nerfing, in most cases. Maybe you're thinking only of PvE, and if so I can understand, maybe - but you're not being put-upon, poor widdle huntwer. Not in PvP.

  • Outside of Spectral Blades, what is really so broken about a Hunter? Blade Barrage is now just another shutdown super as you're almost never going to chain the super now. Golden Gun is extremely mediocre, easy to shut down, easy to wait out the duration, and easy to get away from. Arc Staff is just a worse Spectral Blades atm. Do I even need to bring up Shadowshot?

  • Dude, you're missing my point. I don't think they should be nerfing any supers outside of pvp balancing. The perk they are nerfing really isn't viable in pvp, so why is it getting nerfed in pve? Yes you get some energy back, but the amount from one kill is less than what one strike costs. And with all the cover your bound to miss a shot or two, so in pvp it doesn't really extend the super, and if it does, not by enough to warrant a nerf. I'm sorry your hunter subclass got nerfed. Trust me, I used to run Nova Warp in pvp all the time. But it was a little op. I can admit that and understand why they did it. But the nerf made it useless in pve. And this change to dawnblade makes no sense... Bungie needs to find a way to separate the tuning for pvp and pve, or just separate the two activities all together.

  • You guys really don't see a problem with being able to infinitely chain a super in certain circumstances? Sure, it's fun to mow down those Scorn - but come on.

  • Yeah the nerf to supers in pve shouldn't be happening I understand tweaks to supers for pvp type things cause a person running around the map with a long super would be ridiculous. The nerf to weapons and supers and exotics in pve is something that just shouldnt have happened.

think you should tone down your Warlock privilege outrage. you are complaining that your OP ability is less OP. Long reach melee. overshields, pulse grenades, health returns, recovery of 12 or higher. To get any of that I have to run exotic armour, but you get it as part of your tree.

  • Pulse grenades... titans get 2. Hunters also can have 2 skip grenades. Warlock only get 1 grenade and most of them suck. Health regen from our rift, doesn't really even work or help in PvP, takes way too long launch and can't over come a bullet... not that I want or expect it too. I'm not complaining about the adjustment to dawnblade. But I've played all classes and warlock abilities in PvP feel sub par to me. That doesn't mean I can't make them work.

  • Too bad that over shield doesn't keep a Titan from killing me with his one hit melee. Too bad warlocks are so slow that they can't even escape a hunter's swarm grenades. I guess hunter's have it real rough being able to dodge while they turn invisible. And a Titans ability to throw a suppression grenade and pull a Warlock out of his super is just useless. Same for those hunter tethers. The fact that two out of the three classes can suppress supers, while Warlocks cannot is a real shame for those two classes. Besides all that, I wasn't even really talking about pvp. More about pve.

  • I am not denying Titans one hit melee is OP. or that the pulse grenade is the only one that works in the game (hunters don't have it, Titans get two). Dodge doesn't keep any hunter alive, just ask a hunter killing a hunter, most use it as a reload (yes that is cool), although Warlocks are the only class that still has blink. invisible is just a concept since it isn't hard to spot them, either with normal vision or the multiple enhanced vision perks, guns, and armour. And suppressing supers by requiting a super doesn't count, I agree about the suppressor grenades. but use Nova warp, that goes right through the arch strider shield, which no one uses, and kills people around corners. lol
