They don't care that the player base is so low. They already made dump trucks full of money on this game. All the maintenance and updates for this game all the way up to D3 are already paid for thousands of times over. Bungie does not care. The only thing that would ever make them care is if D3 only sold like 500 copies but that won't happen because consumers are dumb. D3 will sell millions of copies on its first day and Bungie will laugh all the way to the bank, again.
