Yesterday the player numbers hit what may well be the per platform lowest player numbers in the history of the game. At the very least it was close.... Most of this is too little too late. You know a lot of people would come back for a simple sign of good faith like removing enhancement cores from infusion. Personally I think there are much worse problems that need to be addressed but really just feeling like you're listening on that point will go a long way to getting back players.... Most of all you need to start taking actions before it becomes a crisis. People have been predicting this player crash would result from you ignoring player concerns for months and you just kept on ignoring it. Now you're going to have to deal with it and it's not going to look like something you're doing "because players told us what they wanted", you're going to look like you're doing it because there's a figurative gun to your head to do something before you lose the players you have left. Doing something because you had no choice "tests" a lot differently than doing something because you heard your community and took action to give them what they wanted. You're going to have to do it eventually. Do you really want it to be because you had no choice? You're not going to be able to spin that as "listening to the players". It's going to look bad. You're going to look weak for finally caving into demands, and foolish that it took a literal catastrophe to make it happen. You're in a gocart playing chicken with a big rig. Except it's night time and your gocart doesn't have headlights so not only are you going to lose, the rig isn't even going to know it ran you over.

  • They don't care that the player base is so low. They already made dump trucks full of money on this game. All the maintenance and updates for this game all the way up to D3 are already paid for thousands of times over. Bungie does not care. The only thing that would ever make them care is if D3 only sold like 500 copies but that won't happen because consumers are dumb. D3 will sell millions of copies on its first day and Bungie will laugh all the way to the bank, again.

  • Dude just stop. Stop infusing everything when it's a light level higher. I'm sitting on 120 right now and have like 20 masterwork weapons. We don't want you whining anymore about cores, especially since it's blocking important feedback.

  • Sorry I just automatically zone out whenever one of you toxic losers start whining. Were you saying something?

  • I'm trying to help you out man. What is your ACTUAL problem with enhancement cores? Yes, I know it a dumb way to extend play time, yes I know they're too finite and expensive to acquire. But what is your problem with them? I don't have any problem with them I don't infuse anything until I hit say 690's and then I drop it all at once so I can do the new content. Takes about a week's worth of activities, maybe a little more. Then I'm set for the new end game, farm some more materials, play crucible. You know do my normal stuff and then infuse when I can hit 700 on my main gear. Then I bring everything forward that I have builds for to 700. Probably about 20 cores maybe less if I get some dupe armor so it only costs glimmer plus dupe exotics and I'm done. So instead whining you like you are what don't you tell the developer's what your problem is with the system. I'm not being toxic. But just yelling "Remove enhancement cores from infusion". Doesn't offer a strong enough case apparently because they came out and addressed it about a week ago saying they would make more reliable and plentiful sources. They don't care and you're blocking other feedback that they could focus on. Like how broken 180 hand cannons are, or spec blades, or heavy ammo issues in crucible, nightfall drop rates, remove eververse 2.0 ect.

  • My problem with you is that like so many others you have no sense of the larger picture. You don't fight a gasoline fire with water (vague promises and empty implications) because that only makes it spread, and you don't fight a gas fire without hitting the emergency shut off first. Bungle screaming "but but, we're listening!" is fighting a gas fire water. And dealing with the core issue is hitting the emergency shut off which will starve the fire of more fuel. Shutting off the emergency valve is the single easiest action you can take to achieve the highest positive results. Removing cores from infusion is the simplest action they can take to achieve the most positive result. It's a bandaid, a sign of good faith, a simple action that will get people back in the game. Once people are playing the game again they can start focusing on secondary and tertiary issues. But this is a matter that costs them NOTHING and worst case scenario they won't lose anymore players over this issue. Other issues maybe, in time, but this is an issue they're losing people over here, and now. You want all those things you dislike about crucible fixed? They aren't going to bother if their player counts drop too low. This is why Activation made them buy the game from them. Because Activision believes their "vision" for the game is near sighted and doomed to failure. And Bungie isn't proving them wrong. Activision wanted to be clear of this before the shit hit the fan. They knew this was coming. One can only assume even Bungie knew this was coming. Look. People do not want more sources. They want to not have to deal with it anymore period. And it's time Bungie did what any other business would do. Give their customers what they want even if they don't like it.

  • Dude really wasn’t being toxic or combative. While I don’t have an issue with what you said, a lot of you inadvertently provide feedback with the same basic tone as dad sitting you down and teaching you one of those life correcting life lessons which honestly is a super quick way to get people to tone you out no matter how valid your opinions may be.

  • It's not really like a life lesson. It's more like explaining that 1 plus 1 does not equal apple.
