This Week at Bungie – 4/4/2019
This week at Bungie, we’re getting ready for some high voltage.
A storm is brewing. Next week, we’ll kick off what we’ve been calling Arc Week. Our goal for this happening has been to take the element that makes our sandbox crackle and put it under the microscope. The most noticeable update is that we improved many Arc subclass paths from the time before Forsaken. The week will also feature Arc Singe and Arc Bounties to synergize with your updated abilities. To provide a proving grounds for all this new energy, Mayhem will be available in the Crucible to let you experiment with your enhanced Arc abilities using shockingly short cooldowns.
Arc Week will also feature one of the most powerful Arc weapons ever created, the Thunderlord Exotic Machine Gun. If you weren’t able to complete the quest to obtain Thunderlord last year, you will have from April 9 to April 23 to revisit the Cosmodrome and add it your collection.

4 RepliesIf i may bungie, with all due respect, you guys have positive intentions, you care about your game, and your doing good things to fix its pronlems. Here's the issue, Regaurdless of the "enhancement core epidemic" or cruicible issues, simalar things have happened countless times in destiny's history. Remember the sidarm meta? Teir zero mida? You've obviously learned from that. But now its time to learn from your current mistakes. Rework the enhancement cores, tune up cruicible, balence your subclasses, and as a personal request, do not for any reason make the first year 3 dlc smaller in content than the other year kickoff dlc's. Not to sound harsh, but If anyone repeatedly in bungie makes these mistakes, they aren't fit for their jobs. This is not meant offensively, its just the sad brutal truth, so i apologize for the negitivity. I understand that last bit most likely will not happen, and you got a big to do list of your own without a publisher. I believe in you bungie, as i always have since halo. Pring us to the promise land in destiny.

I apologize but you probably won't let me do this,can I merge my Warlock subclass and my hunter subclass? I have an idea what I'm looking for, I would prefer that my Rift abilities do not change. one of my skill trees will get replaced with the hunters skill tree. when when using the hunters Skills my super changes directly to the hunters super, but I no longer can Dodge. one reason I want to do this it's because I'm usually on one play one character. another reason why this is the long answer I want to do this is because no one has taking the position yet I am willing to take the Hunter's Vanguard position. when it is found I will take the supportive role of helping them do their job. another reason why and the most simple reason is I like that animation for the hunters staffed, I wanted to be able to use the emote with my Warlock. is there going to be a solar week? I would like to have an emote for my warlock as well for my dawnblade at some time.

3 RepliesSo, let's get this straight. Arc week. Fixes one Titan arc subclass and leaves the other two extremely lacking (seriously, who sees any Titan arc mains?). Meanwhile, you fix two Arcstrider subclasses and FIVE Warlock subclasses? Honestly, this comes off the back of me saying to my day one Destiny friend last week, "I enjoy playing as a Titan but its subclasses and supers are so poor in comparison to the others I'm at a disadvantage every time I play and, as a PvP player, I'm basically done with playing Destiny"... And then TWAB reveals Bungie giving preferential treatment to Warlocks again... Hope that bottom tree Striker change is good because I'm about done.

Arc week sounds like an interesting idea. Looking forward to using arc with two of my classes as the third is almost always on arc (Titan) just can’t leave the double nades! Hopefully a solar and Void week will be in the future?

Is win trade considered cheating? I am talking about how if the entire team leaves in the beginning of a competitive game both teams will get a win . I won't give the details cause I don't want this to be used but since thousands of people are doing it and they didn't get banned and they got to keep their Not Forgotten I wonder if it is considered an exploit. Technically they aren't booting people and the other team gets a win as well . The result of the game will show both teams got a win with zero kills .It takes less than a couple of hours to get the Not Forgotten. What is bungie doing about that? I don't see anything on your official channels.

Last April we had a timeline released for upcoming content through fall of 2018 - will we be getting something similar for fall of 2019 in the next week or so?

2 RepliesAs disappointed as I am with certain changes missing, I still feel the need to remind people: Considering the lengthy process of getting approved and shipping console updates (thank Sony and Microsoft), it's not like Bungie can catch some feedback and slap it in the game the following week. Unfortunately shit takes time. Quit freaking out. Take a break and wait for Spectral Blades to get ruined if that's what you're so obsessed about.

2 RepliesSo It sounds like the melee perk for top tree arc strider got worse for pvp damage wise just to make people give a shat* about liars hand shake. You would have to melee someone 2-3 times now to get the same damage buff and when ever has a hunter ran around spam punching people in crucible. Liars handshake s perk should work on every subclass after any melee is used considering how week hunter melee's and grenades are. A titan tackle 1 shots you but a precision knife to the face (which you have to aim) takes half health or less if its to the body. I'm fine with the spectral blades nerf comming but what's up with the nightstalker top tree pvp update. Teather should be a poison snare that drains enemy health and the more flies caught in the web the faster they should die. It should also be stronger and players should not be able to walk right out of it. Nova bomb is similar except it kills its target instantly and then spreads out and tracks more victims. No other super requires you to use a gun to kill your target. This simple fact alone means that it should be performing way better then it currently is. @cosmo

How about details on the weapon catalysts? What will be the improvements to each weapon? I would like to know if these new catalysts are worth the grind. What about the catalysts that were linked to faction rallys?

As much as that Titan buff pleases me, I still feel that it isn’t enough. Thundercrash needs some improvements. [b]BIG[/b] improvements. It needs either higher damage, giant radius or to leave a better damage dealing quake after. It doesn’t compare to blade barrage at all. Blade barrage even gets an exotic which helps charge it after kills.

Edited by Fibby: 4/5/2019 10:59:56 AMTop tree Striker and Thundercrash both need a buff, the neutral game for both of these subclasses is mediocre at best, and the supers are underwhelming as well. The melee attack for the Sentinel has been broken or inconsistent at best since the game launched and its still not being looked at, Arcstider and Spectral both had similar problems but those were buffed to the point where they dont even have to hit nowhere near you to kill you while the shield attack keeps missing or just not doing any damage although it is connecting on your point of view. Arcstrider did not need a buff, all you are doing here is once again making sure that Hunters stay at the top of the meta like they have been for the entire time this game has been out. As soon as Spectral Blades gets a well deserved nerf, all you are going to see is Arcstiders.

Glory should give cosmetics not a competitive advantage IMO. It’s spoiling the game for me playing them all the time... it’s a bit like half the community has access to aimbots / wall hacks... but in this case they’re super (pinnacle) weapons... not really a fair or fun experience for the rest!

Why didn't you give some love to all arc subclasses? The missile subclass is nowhere near good enough for a one and done. You can't attack bosses with it, it doesn't do enough damage and the sliding perk is useless. Top tree titan, having to climb objects to get max damage is bad, and you can't aim the super when you do jump off a high object, not that finding a high area in a boss area is easy... Just give it death from above aiming, max damage and one and done like year one.
