This Week at Bungie – 4/4/2019
This week at Bungie, we’re getting ready for some high voltage.
A storm is brewing. Next week, we’ll kick off what we’ve been calling Arc Week. Our goal for this happening has been to take the element that makes our sandbox crackle and put it under the microscope. The most noticeable update is that we improved many Arc subclass paths from the time before Forsaken. The week will also feature Arc Singe and Arc Bounties to synergize with your updated abilities. To provide a proving grounds for all this new energy, Mayhem will be available in the Crucible to let you experiment with your enhanced Arc abilities using shockingly short cooldowns.
Arc Week will also feature one of the most powerful Arc weapons ever created, the Thunderlord Exotic Machine Gun. If you weren’t able to complete the quest to obtain Thunderlord last year, you will have from April 9 to April 23 to revisit the Cosmodrome and add it your collection.

Yall have to do something about the shit rng i spent 10 hours today farming for a baligant and didnt get a single one to drop and in 45 forge completions ive gotten 1. I pretty much only play pvp anymore because the pve grind is atrocious but if im gonna have to farm that shit like this just to get a gun for pvp ill just not play its getting ridiculously tiring

Arc weeks sounds more like sandbox changes that should have been coming anyways and should not be part of an event.. Next we can expect a Void week and Solar week? with bounties and modifiers to match.. I'm not terribly excited with this especially considering we aren't even given an idea of what we get to do for arc week but, we can buy some emotes... I mean, is it just bounties and emotes.. will we get to run through the infinite forest with arc powers for something, or basically an arc driven week and thats it? I think the topic needs to start telling us about the next season and the one to follow. A road map that will show us the fall, plans for the season pass, content, sandbox ideas you have, even if some of this stuff doesn't end up in the game. We need to see what you are thinking and be able to react to it before its in game, and takes 12 months or never to get to a place that both sides are happy with.

The pace of sandbox adjustments remains embarrassingly slow and the scope unreasonably narrow with each pass. The slow rollout of exotic catalysts is unbalanced and a design failure of the system. Time limited availability of exotic gear (and catalysts, for that matter) is just asinine design. You guys keep aggressively timegating every aspect of progression and gameplay, make the game actively uninviting to play. Do you really feel that pulling shenanigans like these is the right way to persuade people to come back? Honestly, being heavy-handed with time limited availability of stuff is much more of a turn off to the inactive player than it is a turn on. Sure it might work sometimes, but it’s going to be frustrating either way.

Why Banshee don’t have any new mods or change when it’s time cause the mods banshee have been the same ones from yesterday unless you (Bungie ) change it where the mods will only change on reset then that is stupid idea.. Vanguard bounties need to be more and don’t expire and new bounties will be added when daily reset happens not the same.. Bring back the factions allow them to be part of the vanguard vendors or their own vendors like Destiny 1..

Missed a trick there lol, its arc week...... could have introduced catalysts for any arc weapons that were missing them..... thunderlord springs to mind..... long shot but could have also finally dropped exotic armour catalysts for any arc tinged exotic armour. Would of made arc week a real date on the calendar lol

What about the Radiant Matrix, or forge matchmaking from orbit? Enhancement cores..? Are any real issues going to be addressed soon, or are you just going to keep dreaming? 3 Replies"Great news!!! We realised that we over-nerfed Nova Warp. We have taken the 'Warlock nerfs sledgehammer' out of the bloody corpse, and seem to see a problem there. (All this blood on the outside, it should be inside.) After several months, we have enough data to ensure the best possible fix." In that same time (and about 8 months before that) we have "discovered" that spectral blades may be a scootchy tootch too far to the right. Poor little diddums is just too big for his boots. We will spend the next 6-12 months collecting data* to make sure it stays a tiny bit stronger than the rest, while trying to look like we are working on it. We aren't even taking the 'Hunter nerfs scalpel' out of the bag until we get the microscope out. *obviously seeing spectral on 50% of all hunters is still not enough data to work on. Hey Bungie, your bias is showing, and it smells so bad.

18 RepliesArc week = sandbox and previous thunderlord quest for casuals that couldn't be bothered in the first place. Previous thunderlord cosmodrome quest is not new content. Arc week was supposed to be part of the new content we purchased. If this is Arc week why couldn't you use this as an opportunity for veteren players to get Zalo Supercell as well as Thunderlord for those who didn't get Thunderlord first time around. So effectively Arc week on when put on the roadmap sounded exciting and intriguing.... But it's just a sandbox changes that should have been done ages ago. I am disappointed to say the least.
