Stop forcing pvp!!!!! There is a large part of this community that does not want to participate in your unbalanced garbage.

stop crying!
comming from a PvE main!
YESSSSSS preach!!! Some of us just want some new patrol zones on these old ass planets we been roaming for a year. Or updated areas like the plague lands did on earth. Some new strikes. I dont care about raids but I'm sure people do. They need to stop later focusing on one area. And widen that gaze. Season of the difter would have been fine with a few new strikes. And patrol zones. Up date all the venders old stock off world and in the tower like D1 used to do every dlc. And bam every bodys got nee stuff to grind for, new areas to explore. Anuff to hold them over. Same with season of blk armor. Forges and werid puzzles??? That's it 4 exotics??? Come on. If each of those forges cam with a new patrol area. And we got a more complaint story from ada. Like in game cut sceanes. With other vangurd and what not. And a few more exotic armor peaces and a bigger catalog of black armory weapons that exp could have been so much better. There are factions I destiny not every body is down with the pvp side of things. Just like not every body raids 3 times a week. There are people who just wanna explore new areas, and get new weapons.

That's a little harsh
-
Not really, not at all
-
I don't play crucible. If there is a quest that involves it, I just delete it. Problem solved, thank me later 😁
-
You're not forced to you absolute moron.... I'm 99% sure there isn't a Bungie employee with a gun to your head screaming GO INTO THE CRUCIBLE OR YOUR DONE. It's an optional mode in a game which is also completely optional to play.......
-
If PVP is the only otion to obtain something then you are being forced into it
-
Only if you’re a completionist.
-
See reply later below. Not forced if you can't do that quest step or don't want to do it don't do the quest it's optional. Plus the latest quests to "force" pvp are for pvp orientated weapons. So yeah pvp should be required.

Yes it is, milestones, quests, timed events..... gambit gambit gambit
-
That's still not forced crucible and gambit are still very optional you don't have to participate if you dont enjoy them. There are many milestones now just for pve. Also quests are optional for example if you're referring to the recent Thorn quest, its a well known pvp gun so requiring pvp at some point to get it is valid. The only thing I can think of other than that is the allegiance quest steps for crucible kills and banking motes in gambit. Bit annoying yes if you don't enjoy those but still optional. You could always be a neutral guardian :)
-
You have to play gambit prime to be able to unlock the reckoning.

Edited by U8043781: 3/18/2019 12:20:42 PMDestiny is pve at its core, there are far too many pvp quests and milestones. Yes it is forced, you have to play it to lvl up in s timely fashion. Takes 3x or more longer to hit max light now if one chooses not to play. Feels forced to me as well as many others. Sry to be blunt but I don’t care what people who disagree think bc my posts that ask to stop forcing and focusing on pve has over 100 likes when I woke up and 3 responses... 1 of which agreed 2 disagree. Now it doesn’t show dislikes, but 100 people agreeing in 12 hours to me means there is a large portion of this playerbase that doesn’t want pvp either, at least not in destiny. Max light should be tied to raids, not pvp.

So let me get this straight. You think you’re forced to play PVP to level up? That is completely untrue, I am a 698 Hunter and I’ve probably only played 13/14 games of crucible since SOTD dropped, for the Thorn quest and allegiance quest. Also the quests that involve a lot of PVP are mainly for PVP based guns (TLW & Thorn, guns both designed for PVP) A PVP gun isn’t going to have a PVE only quest, it then defeats the object of it being a PVP weapon. If anything, the Thorn quest was overly generous with its PVE alternatives, offering them for almost every step. Just to summarise, you do not need to play crucible to level up. If you don’t want to play PVP, then don’t play it, it’s simple, however then you won’t get PVP exclusive guns like TLW, Thorn, LH/NF.

Then why is pvp not separate from pve? Bungie is using forced tactics to get people to play their crappy pvp. There’s the problem with this game... there is no place in destiny for that kind of elitism. It’s pve st its core but bungie spends most resources and time catering to pvp and the 1% of this community that actually enjoys it. Enough enough, pvp focus and forced tactics to get people to play something they do t want to or even enjoy. Separate the two game modes completely, meaning we could have customization skill trees in our pve subclasses again and actually feel powerful after grinding for 1-2 months for max power. Then pvp could also have the balance it needs and I’d care less anymore bc my pve experience wouldn’t be nerfed neutered and dumbed down to accommodate pvp and it’s balancing needs. Destiny 2 was designed from ground up around pvp, it’s not working. The game needs replayable rewarding and fun to play pve with that powerful feeling in between content when you hit max light.
-
I don’t think any of the things you complained about really have anything to do with pvp and for the most part the best way to level up and gain power is through raids not pvp.
-
PVP is separate you melt, if you don’t want to play it, don’t.
-
Okay so let's break this down not including dailys: Pve milestones: LW raid: 5 powerful drops Sotp raid: 3 powerful drops BA forges: 3 powerful drops Weekly strikes Weekly story missions Flashpoint Dreaming city: mission, blind well, ascendant challenge, bounties all powerful drops Spider bounty Ikora package Hawthorne package Prime engrams The reckoning: this is pve Pvp milestones: Crucible call to arms Gambit Gambit prime Hmmm yeah sooo much pvp there.
-
You don't get it 90 % of quest involves pvp and the only reason THE ONLY REASON is to make pvp viable. If bungie had any real confidence in their pvp they wouldn't force pve players into it . And they do force it on pve players they see the numbers every day and netease sees those numbers too and if bungie don't inflate those numbers then netease begins to question if bungie was really worth 100 million dollars investment.
-
There's that word again "forced" ypur not forced to do it it's optional no one makes you go into the activity. You don't have to do those quests if you hate pvp so much. I also don't get why there's so much hate around the pvp steps. Pvp can be great. I love testing certain weapons out in pvp. Like yesterday I got a outlaw kill clip nightshade took it into a strike for pve test and then a game of crucible. Didn't care if I won or lost just went in to test my new toy. Pvp can be hell I've been stomped many a time but I've also had some amazing games. But like I've said if you hate pvp that much no one is making you do it.
-
Yes they are being forced to play pvp 90% of quest involves pvp in some form or another . You know it , I know it and bungie knows it that if they didn't involve pvp into quest then you would never see a pve player within a hundred miles of pvp . They NEED pve players to play pvp bungie knows that streamers need moving targets or they leave the game , they know youtubers need pve players to play pvp or they will leave the game but most important is they NEED pve players to play pvp or netease takes their 100 million dollars and fines someone else to make pvp games for them .
-
*removes tinfoil hat* Shhh brother you don't want bungie to know that YOU KNOW! After all it's just one big conspiracy man! *Puts back on tinfoil hat*
-
I just cannot even.... what? I can't even justify a proper response you hqve me stumped sir. Streamers make up such a minute population of the community... Also just to clarify on all these posts I'm not being a pvp fan boy or anything I just want to know why you all feel forced to play an optional activity in an optional game as an optional pass time.
