•

This season, needed a complete freshen up but so far (we will wait and actually see), it doesn’t feel like this has happened.

Exactly, we will wait and see, but so far of what I have seen this is going to fizzle oot like Black Armoury did! They basically admitted that Black Armoury wasn’t successful - they have said that this is the first season that they can put oot what they really want and see as a content - what has stopped them previously from doing this? They talk about the core community, giving them what they want but how do they define as ‘core community’? I gave up on on Crucible as I struggle wi it too much, so does my opinion or wants not count as I would not be their definition of ‘core community’ - I have 11 Infamy Resets, yet all the changes they have made does not fall in line with what I feel needs doing with Gambit, what I have previously suggested to Bungie has not been listened so is that because I am not part of the ‘core community’? Core community is not necessarily a fair representation of the community - the fact they use the word ‘core’ suggests to me, it is a small minority that they are listening to - not the majority, which they should be listening too! Yes new Gambit mode, yes new horde, yes new armour , yes new weapons - but it is around Gambit, which is great if you like Gambit. But Bungie, needed to do something for non-Gambit fans - they could have done something wi Crucible, couple new strikes/nf’s, they could have added new armour/weapons to even just a couple vendors and I think that would have made a difference to, perhaps not all, but good section of players. Yes, we have 3 new pinnacle weapons (and they look great) but I hope, I really hope they learned fae last season as it was riddled wi AFKs! Strikes wasn’t too bad, but Gambit was a complete -blam!- up!

 • There is the actual core community....and then there is what Bungie "thinks" is the core community. I think Bungie defines the "core community" as (their internal jargon) "Hobbyist Omnivores". That is people who play the game everyday, and freely move back and forth between all the game's various activities. So they're raiding one day. Playing the Crucible the next day. Grinding strikes the day after that....and finish up the week playing Gambit. The Milestones system is actually designed to FORCE you to play that way if you want to progress most efficiently. The problem is that most people DON"T PLAY THIS GAME THAT WAY. So they resent being pressured to play parts of the game they don't like. I am actually (or was....I haven't played Destiny since Anthem dropped) that "Hobbyist Omnivore". But even I got frustrated with the unaddressed systems' problems (CBMM in pvp, Cores in PVE)....and got burned out with being forced-feed the entire game in this rigid and predictable way every week. I played all parts of the game....but my interest would wax and wane. Destiny 1 gave me the freedom to stop playing parts of the game that got stale....without feeling penalized for it. Then feel free to come back to them as my interest rekindled...and some other part of the game started to get stale. That's why I was able to put 3500 hours into Destiny 1 without ever burning out. While I'm only about 1500 hours into Destiny 2....and I've essentially walked away. I'm simly having too much fun playing Anthem to comeback to playing this game in its current condition.

I once was like you however this last while I have cut back on things as I was playing for off chance of getting Exotics rather than for enjoyment! I do though, play every day, several hours per day so perhaps I am a hobbyist omnivore but just not one of Bungies type. I cannot blame you for moving on, I feel many others are doing that and will do that - which is a great shame! Bungie needs to realise that yes there is a core of players that will give great feedback, but the core expands further and they should listen to those out with the core! Thank you again
