No they are not ranged archetypes. And you said energy scouts are good in PvP.... but do u realize energy and kinetic doesn’t make a difference in PVP....

Kinetic weapons have higher damage output against non shielded enemies. Energy weapons do more damage to shields of any type, and even more damage to shields of a matching energy type. Been that way since D1.
