Actually hunters should main scouts n pulses and they are good.. not so great for pvp unless energy based... I agree there. So what is your exact concern with pulse and scouts? Is it lack of or over of?

  • Everyone is on drugs... probably you also Kinetic vs energy: Kinetic in pvp is fine but take the same loadout and pop in a strike... Some of the rifle classes have trouble maintaining that damage needed on the enemy.... so energy rifle classes become more valuable in a PvE setting due to elemental damage. Hunters (archetype) are swift and agile... They are made to scout and hang back... They HUNT so yes... In actuality a Hunter should be made for pulse and scout rifles as their original purpose in a RPG/ MMO setting was to bring the damage from a distance.... Can they do awesome stuff close? Yes but hunters are ranged archetypes.

  • That's okay... You do not agree... But i do. Because its my facts of my playing... Plus the other people like me. So let me get it over with for you bud. I absolutely suck at video games. I am not an engineer, developer, coder, specialist, tech guru or wise soul... But when i go into my environment and how i play then actually it makes a lot more sense... But if you ay so different than I well you will not get it... Don't mean i "know nothing" it means you know nothing of my play type and cannot relate. So its all gpod bud. I wish you would explain why instead of just saying that.

  • I thought it was obvious but let me elaborate; You said " They are made to scout and hang back", right? So, while anyone playing with any class can find a benefit to their play style which is absolutely normal. Your statement is incorrect as they are not made to hang back. Hunters (even you can see that from D1 - Destiny Live action trailer [url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOsu-vm4Dg4[/url]) are made for close combat therefore they have the best mobility (not speed, that is gotta be Tank Titans for some reason) beacuse of their jump and class abilities. If you also actually look at the ability trees you can clearly also see that most of Hunter builds are melee oriented or requires you to close by to your enemy like doge ability to disorient the enemies. I am by no means are very talented pvp player but it is not a rocket science either. This does not mean you cannot rock scout rifles with a hunter, of course not. But hunters are definitely not built to stand back, but to be in the middle of the action. PS: It is not facts of playing, your play style only lets you utilize bits and pieces considering you play long range and hang back. You are simply under utilizing hunter's abilities.

    Yes it does... Actually all the supers disagree.. golden gun can shoot decently but has limit of range. Spectral Blade is void version of Arc Blade D1 the Blade Barrage is range limited lol the only one not limited is Tether. It can go far.... However, to your point: Supers were meant to disagree... Its a super. That thing you use to crush your opponent whether pvp or not. Plus SUPERS ARE FUN if used right. Btw I never use mine right... I am horrible but I still love them nonetheless! So a super/ultimate is supposed to be different... Why would you want to be a glowing arc guy shoot a gun when your guns already come with elemental damage. And for this reason an ultimate is allowed a higher freedom on a character. I say "Let the Arcstrider disagree, i promote it" :)

    No they are not ranged archetypes. And you said energy scouts are good in PvP.... but do u realize energy and kinetic doesn’t make a difference in PVP....

  • Kinetic weapons have higher damage output against non shielded enemies. Energy weapons do more damage to shields of any type, and even more damage to shields of a matching energy type. Been that way since D1.

  • I said nothing about pulses, and it's no secret scouts are still lackluster in pve. Crucible they can be quite good, but in pve I've never once thought it was a good idea to use a scout.

What do you use?

  • Smgs and scouts need raw damage output buffs. High impact fusions need more recoil and the other fusions need less recoil. One shot launchers need more impactful grenade perks(that's what I use). Sidearms need more accuracy or range, either would be nice. Just something to compete more with shotguns. I could go on. Bungie had been making sandbox changes, but they take way too long and too little is changed. The changes themselves are good, but they don't change enough weapons or perks at a time.

  • Okay... Well man, if I came off like an ass I am sorry because I see where you are angered and I agree. I personally thought grenade launchers needed more blast radius. Its an explosive as accurate as a rock.. i am bad at the strategy with the grenade launcher. Lol they keep taking their underdog guns and trying to make them good but the other meta weapons still seem so much greater... I like fusion weapons. So I agree also... Mean while they make nineteen thousand more hand cannons... Lol its tough man... I just wish i could see where the misinterpretations of our requests come from.

    Nah you didn't come off as an ass, I just had to be blunt as I was busy at work. Grenade launchers are a fantastic niche weapon, they just keep nerfing the only viable perk(proximity grenades). If they reworked the other grenade perks to not want to dismantle every grenade launcher that doesn't have it, I'd be happy. Sticky grenades are the only other good grenade perk, but they don't roll on the one shots, unless you have mountaintop. I have it, and it's the perk that makes the weapon. Shooting fast or straight has nothing to do with how good it is. 16000 grenade launcher kills in pvp and I'm hindered to using only mountaintop because they keep nerfing proxy nades. I honestly think Bungie is done with D2. That's why nothing is really happening. Everyone is working on D3 and the skeleton crew is left trying to distract people from how boring this game is right now. Idk, I'm kinda over destiny. Anthem is loads of fun, and Division will keep me even busier. Cheers, man.

Replaying it really showed me how little care they had for that one... lol dialogue was off, missions were... Eh... I try to find positive in it but I notice this also. I wish they would be willing to shake hands properly... Because they add a fix... Just not the exact one we were looking for. Still hopin for best #Bungie
