Because the community doesn’t exclusively play gambit so why would they dedicate 3 months to it? It’s not new gambit mode and maps? Great what about everything else? What about a vendor reset so it’s not 3 more months they are worthless. Etc etc.

  • They bought the pass knowing it was going to be gambit exclusively “season of the drifter” idk how bungie could of made it more clear Yeah game isnt perfect and they could do a lot to fix it but people complaining that’s it all about gambit when it’s literally named season of the drifter before they bought it hahah These season passes are meant to fix the game at all they are to add content to the game anything else they fix in between and have don’t so little by little but to complain about it being all gambit when it named season of the drifter is just baffling to me . Why did people think it was going to be about anything else ?

Did I honestly know about gambit for a whole season? No.

It is just the same stuff that has been there for months now. Yes, it’s Season o the Drifter, so predominantly it should be Gambit orientated but they should have considered non gambit players too.

  • Really? Did season of the Forge only include forges?

  • Yep. It had a raid and some awesome exotics. This new dlc doesn’t.

Yeah actually it was basically all about grinding for a perfect roll on forge weapons , a couple of exotic quest and a raid that’s pretty much it so I don’t see what’s wrong with season of the drifter being all about gambit , a couple of exotic quest only thing missing is a raid wow wich only like a small population actually raid so I don’t see much difference man

  • Did you get any perfect rolls? I grinded for 3 months and never got one. Probably 150 weapons forged at least. I got the ship for 100 a long time ago. I can’t even stand logging into this game anymore to grind because the grinds are not rewarding AT ALL.

  • The difference man is we aren’t getting Niobe labs. The difference is outside of forges and a “raid” we haven’t gotten anything new for any of the other 90% of the game except forges and now gambit in 6 months. That’s the difference. I understand your point, but it’s basically worthless because it boils down people’s valid complaints into “duh it’s called season of the drifter you gotta know it’s only going to be Gambit”.

They added a wee something new, but then left basically the rest of the game (I say 95% of it) the same as it has been since Forsaken was released. Now wi Season o Drifter, if you don’t like Gambit, then you are pretty -blam!-ed! Least If they added something new to Crucible, some new strikes/NF, new vendor items then everyone could hae something to look forward too. On top o that, there is a grind to 700 - makes me curious as to what there is to gain by getting to 700? If you do Gambit modes, may not feel like a grind but if you don’t, then it’s same auld milestone after milestone. This season, needed a complete freshen up but so far (we will wait and actually see), it doesn’t feel like this has happened.

  •

This season, needed a complete freshen up but so far (we will wait and actually see), it doesn’t feel like this has happened.

Exactly, we will wait and see, but so far of what I have seen this is going to fizzle oot like Black Armoury did! They basically admitted that Black Armoury wasn’t successful - they have said that this is the first season that they can put oot what they really want and see as a content - what has stopped them previously from doing this? They talk about the core community, giving them what they want but how do they define as ‘core community’? I gave up on on Crucible as I struggle wi it too much, so does my opinion or wants not count as I would not be their definition of ‘core community’ - I have 11 Infamy Resets, yet all the changes they have made does not fall in line with what I feel needs doing with Gambit, what I have previously suggested to Bungie has not been listened so is that because I am not part of the ‘core community’? Core community is not necessarily a fair representation of the community - the fact they use the word ‘core’ suggests to me, it is a small minority that they are listening to - not the majority, which they should be listening too! Yes new Gambit mode, yes new horde, yes new armour , yes new weapons - but it is around Gambit, which is great if you like Gambit. But Bungie, needed to do something for non-Gambit fans - they could have done something wi Crucible, couple new strikes/nf’s, they could have added new armour/weapons to even just a couple vendors and I think that would have made a difference to, perhaps not all, but good section of players. Yes, we have 3 new pinnacle weapons (and they look great) but I hope, I really hope they learned fae last season as it was riddled wi AFKs! Strikes wasn’t too bad, but Gambit was a complete -blam!- up!

  • There is the actual core community....and then there is what Bungie "thinks" is the core community. I think Bungie defines the "core community" as (their internal jargon) "Hobbyist Omnivores". That is people who play the game everyday, and freely move back and forth between all the game's various activities. So they're raiding one day. Playing the Crucible the next day. Grinding strikes the day after that....and finish up the week playing Gambit. The Milestones system is actually designed to FORCE you to play that way if you want to progress most efficiently. The problem is that most people DON"T PLAY THIS GAME THAT WAY. So they resent being pressured to play parts of the game they don't like. I am actually (or was....I haven't played Destiny since Anthem dropped) that "Hobbyist Omnivore". But even I got frustrated with the unaddressed systems' problems (CBMM in pvp, Cores in PVE)....and got burned out with being forced-feed the entire game in this rigid and predictable way every week. I played all parts of the game....but my interest would wax and wane. Destiny 1 gave me the freedom to stop playing parts of the game that got stale....without feeling penalized for it. Then feel free to come back to them as my interest rekindled...and some other part of the game started to get stale. That's why I was able to put 3500 hours into Destiny 1 without ever burning out. While I'm only about 1500 hours into Destiny 2....and I've essentially walked away. I'm simly having too much fun playing Anthem to comeback to playing this game in its current condition.

I once was like you however this last while I have cut back on things as I was playing for off chance of getting Exotics rather than for enjoyment! I do though, play every day, several hours per day so perhaps I am a hobbyist omnivore but just not one of Bungies type. I cannot blame you for moving on, I feel many others are doing that and will do that - which is a great shame! Bungie needs to realise that yes there is a core of players that will give great feedback, but the core expands further and they should listen to those out with the core! Thank you again

  • Honestly it’s all that needs to be said tho it’s a gambit season we all knew that no one is forcing any one to play this game nor did bungie trick people into buying the pass it was clear in text what each season was going to focus on.

  • People are complaining like they got played or tricked into the season pass “that’s it!” “Just gambit?” . They said themselves that each season was going to be little content throughout the year to keep players playing and that it is not going to be big dlc drops through the year . people want all theses changes and all this content added yet bungie made it clear what these seasons were bringing but whatever dude after everything I said you want to not pick “tricked” so I can see your mind is made up have a good day enjoy season of the drifter or don’t not gana shit on your parade

  • No they are giving feedback that they don’t like gambit and don’t want dlc only dedicated to it. You infered the rest of that in your own mind looking to pick a fight. It’s obvious, and boring at this point.
