Might as well be. Kind of feels like a gametype thrown in just so that them and people like you could try and make the extremely weak claim that this DLC isn't only about gambit. It is basically a timed clear the room game, pretty dull and uninspired, and the only use of it is to get gambit prime specific gear. They might as well have out that gear as rewards in gambit prime itself, it wouldnt be that different.
