Not impressed at all. Animated, OP Over-Hyped Eye Candy. Too bad it never translates. Sorry Bungie, Gambit and the whole PVP in PVE experiment is an epic fail. PVP DOES NOT belong in PVE. Leave it in the rear view mirror for Destiny 3.

Edited by TheArtist: 3/5/2019 2:37:12 PMBecause: 1. Massive changed the loot system so that people could finally gear up without being forced into either the DZ or Incursions. 2. They eventually added non-open world pvp options. So people who were genuinely interested in competition had somewhere to go without having to force it on unwilling participants 3. They eventually instituted Rogue 2.0 which reduced the advantage that gankers and griefer used to have. They then just resorted to running in packs, but the changes helped to make the DZ tolerable. Or at least avoidable. 4. Hackers were only an issue on PC. But you had similar problems on console because of exploiters. Fully geared up and killing people just for shits and grins. With average players loosing progress and resources. Even when they weren’t carrying any loot to steal.... ...,and what they were carrying no one bothered to even pick up.

None of those are Destiny 2 nor are they anything the current shell of Bungie staff had anything to do with. You’re putting some stuff out there but none of the staff at Bungie HQ had anything to do with it, probably why you’re praising it.

I like Gambit's concept. Its just flawed with imbalance issues that should be fixed and a better matchmaking system. The concept is fine.

Or you could just not play it. That's the beauty of destiny, you don't have to play everything. You choose.

Yeah, he might as well leave for good, because everything hints at them only expanding more PvPvE activities in D3; which I'm cool with.

curious what leads you to believe this? I'd be cool with it too because we know the PvE will always be the main breadwinner for Destiny so what else could they expand into

There has been multiple rumors and some leaks from sources that have been right before that they'll likely be introducing 'darkness' classes for guardians in D3, allowing for a division in the ranks, and thus creating PvPvE territories where light and dark guardians can engage, but its still in the wilds where other creatures/races are as well. Obviously it's just conjecture and rumor right now, but first we get gambit (a PvE mode with minor PvP elements, as well as the Awoken Queen sub-plot in the Dreaming City about choosing a side. Now in this Season of the Drifter we'll be expanding gambit modes as well as getting a quest line where we can choose the vanguard or the drifter's side; a soft light/dark choice of story line. The signs are there they could be going that direction, which I'm cool with if it happens, but if not I'm still open to see where things go.
