Hello Everyone fellow guardian here just wondering if anyone else heard that they are going to be implementing more micro-transactions into Destiny 2. Bungie if anyone working there cares for the player base please talk about whats coming and what is you're plans on micro transactions in the foreseeable future.
If the Micro-Transaction are done right it shouldn't be a issue but very cautious based on past events with EverVerse

Anyone else worried at all?

They might make more exotic ornaments, or legendary ornaments in general and have them available only through eververse like they did with the thunderlord ornaments. But they could also go the extreme way and lock useful/overpowered stuff behind eververse.

Battlefield has had quick unlocks for their classes for a couple extra dollars since day 1. There were then of course guns that you actually had to grind for to unlock that the quick unlock packs didn't touch. Battlefield is a top grossing fps and really fun to play. Micro transactions could solve the incredibly broken RNG system that has pushed a lot of gamers including myself away. Yea it takes a lot of fun out of the game for some, but for others having the overpowered guns from the start allows them to sit back and enjoy the game. Contrary to the ideology of the community in this game, not everyone is a sweaty neckbeard try hard that lives in that parents basement and gets to play Destiny for 14+ hours a day, everyday.

Haven’t spent a dime on eververse and I still have most all the items I wanted. I want Bungie to give me a reason to buy something from eververse
-
That wasn't what was said at all, so get your facts straight son. It was Activision that wanted it, not bungie.
-
Sounds good, they need to add more useful items that can be purchased, higher level gear, unique weapons etc. I'd spend a lot more then bungie 😉
-
Who cares about cosmetics? Lol
-
As long as the microtransaction for cosmetics or eververse related items I wont complain. But if someday Activision pushed Bungie to put an Exotic Gears/Weapon in Micro, then its the beginning of destruction
-
You all laughed at Destinys earnings call. Well guess what.... This is all Activision. Bungie isn’t pushing this. Activision is. I’m not saying Bungie doesn’t get any blame here. Of course they do. They signed the Contract. But I this has Activision’s Monetization stench all over it.
-
I'm just waiting for Bungie to announce sbmm so I don't buy the next dlc.
-
Activision said that. And remember to not tap the underline button.
-
99% this is an Activision thing and not a Bungie thing.

All weapons and armor purchasable with real money. Do it or no balls. LUL

Sell Luna’s or don’t bother.!

Loot boxes are a no no. Child gambling has quadrupled in the U.K. over the last 12 months and it’s linked to loot boxes. https://youtu.be/nPVOeyRYBPk

I mean what more can they do? They know they need to tread carefully.

All I can see is Xur being still useless and the Korean vendor coming up worldwide selling exotic 9,99$
