I'll make sure the security team sees your report. We don't allow accusations that include player names to be posted publicly here on the forums because it leads to witch hunting, but you can report suspected cheaters using this form. We do issue bans and restrictions for a wide array of cheating including modification or interruption of Destiny 2 network traffic with intent to disrupt the experience of other players or to gain an advantage in the game. For more information on what constitutes cheating and how bans and restrictions work, you can visit our Restrictions and Banning Policies article.

Seems you also don’t deal with cheaters and then ban or give temp bans for folks just trying to do their civic duty to let players know who to avoid when playing this game. Perhaps if the team behind this game was a bit more on point instead of always playing catch up things like this could be dealt with in a swifter manner than, well in this poor soul’a case a whole damn year. But if it was this last year then I guess we all know why it slid, the Bungie team was too busy fixing the hugely, amazing and entirely pathetic y1 of D2. I just hope you and your people have learned to never let those who had a hand in making the initial release get near the table. They belong in corners wearing dunce hats. 3 years of development went down the toilet in September 2017. You basically wasted everyone’s time and charged full price for it. Well, 90% of your consumers’ time. That other 10% or so seems to never see anything wrong in what you do 🤦‍♂️

  • This has never happened to me but, let's say someone gets banned and it's not their fault or Prema ban. Is there a way to contest it or are they just bleep out of luck? Just curious...

  • Nah you are out of luck. From what I have heard Bungie is very strict on their bans. If you get banned you won't know why you got banned, and you will have no opportunity to object to the ban

I doubt you typed that with a straight face. Pass this on to the security teams, you're the laughing stock if the gaming industry.

  • When people report those who are clearly cheating or ddosing and we still come across them all the time, you obviously don't care. I've never seen a developer so far gone as to let the cheaters remain playing the game and ruin it for others, when you are quite happy giving people bans for leaving matches because your matchmaking is the worst I've ever seen. It looks as if you condone cheating. People need to be shown that you are doing what you say you are because there is no evidence apart from 1 guy to say that you take cheating seriously

  • This right here. Even more shameful when you look up their gamertags and they have been doing it for over a year with YouTube videos, threads about them, etc. yet they are still playing. Some of these DDOSers have tons of threads on Bungie’s forums but they have all been shut down for “name and shame”. No further action taken, only toward the victims.

  • Pretty simple, put all cheaters against each other.

  •
Pretty simple, put all cheaters against each other.
Isn't there a game out that the company does that? I could have sworn in the past someone mentioned that the put them on a different sever.

  • Smash bros on Wii. Any cheaters caught we’re all put in a special cheaters only server and could only play against other cheaters. Hilarious way of doing it. If bungie did this it would descend into who could ddos the others first and no one would ever have an internet connection. Nice bit of justice if I ever heard it.

How about you jerks learn from Epic and stop screwing the victims. The name and shame policy is trash. Especially when cheating can be backed up by video and stats. Quit defending cheaters. After 3+years of policies protecting DDOSers, it makes this community wonder if you actually give a shit. This is one of the major issues that keeps coming up and it’s been made clear... you don’t give a shit. It’s hilarious how other companies flat out post the gamertags of cheaters and spells out the punishment, while Bungie forum bans or deleted valid victim posts.

  • Back in the Halo days the Banhammer fell swiftly and often. Why does it seem to take so long now? That's a legitimate question.

  • Yup. Unlike bungie MS does take security seriously. That’s why you can block players on xboxlive and there’s nothing bungie can do.

That's a legitimate question.
This isn't Bungie anymore that a lot of the key people have left this company. This is Activision junior. To be honest, I wish the name Bungie was stripped from them. They do not deserve it at all knowing they went full blown Activision with D2.
