You know, the candy kids get from trick or treating... the ones that have obviously been tampered with and stapled back together.
When I was a wee lad me mum told me never to eat them and would remove them from me sock.
But why?
Was it because she was worried about my well-being? Or was it something more?
Maybe she was doing this systematically because her mother would do this to her just as my grandma’s mother would do to my grandma.
I’m not one to believe conspiracy theories but what if...
WHAT IF The Staple Shortage of 1886 is the cause of this bizarre trend? And the mothers would take the candies and save the staples for themselves? Greed. GREEED!
Ha! Well it’s 2018 now we don’t have to worry about that kind of stuff anymore. We must rise up and let the kids grow up on their own. Let them decide whether or not to eat staples!
so the next time your kid or friend shows you their candy has been tampered with... for the love of god...DO NOTHING!
If one chooses to eat it, then natural selection is running its course. That’s my opinion.
