A good player will defensively use shotguns. A bad player will run around with a shotgun only to get peppered by pretty much everything else. Usually I only get maybe a shotgun kill or two but I only use them when I really have to. Most of the time I stick to my primary and bring in those 5 kill streaks as best as I possibly can.
