Maybe he isn't actually good at sniping like you thought he was... If you're good why cave in and stop sniping? People make excuses that sniping is hard but the reality is shotgunning is just too easy.

He was one of the best snipers in halo as well , he will continue to snipe , but when someone has never taken a sniper off in all the years I’ve watched, using a shotgun even for a few games to me says something about the state of sniping

Yeah, that it requires skill as is intended to be used at it's designed range. Basically this dude lost his advantage of having the only power weapon ammo in a match and is being destroyed by other special weapons now which everyone spawns in with. Chose to run shotties to save face and not look bad to his viewers. Had he stuck it out and still shit on shotgun rushers with sniper rifles it would be impressive. But the fact he caved and didn't adapt isn't a problem with the weapon it's a problem with him. Should I be allowed to rush with a fusion rifle and win against shotguns an inch away from my enemy. Should I be allowed to cross map a sniper with said fusion rifle as well? No, I should be rewarded for playing in my intended range and punished for being arrogant prick using a weapon outside said range.
