I agree 100% ... being told to “avoid sniper lanes” constantly became the most hated words on this forum to me..

The sniper meta was only bad because they nerfed all counters to snipers in that meta

no it was bad because the community became a bunch of lane camping pu$*& that ruined the game. Thats why they were rightfully nerfed. The nerf wasn't even that severe it gave you flinch when you got shot which makes 100% sense and removed the massive amount of aim assist so you had to be good. Those seem fine to me. Any weapon that can kill in one shot uncontested from lets say 1000 yards can't eat flinch and have massive aim assist. Thats crazy.

This happened because snipers became to easy to use. That happened because primaries were nerfed so much but flinch was never adjusted so it eventually became insignificant. That's why they needed to fix it then.

You're forgetting that that weapon that can "kill from a thousand yards" is absolutely abysmal at anything from close to medium range. The argumemt was that maps do not allow such longe range firefights therefore making anipers obsolete.
