Scout Rifle Damage

At the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken, Scout Rifle damage was reduced for PvE activities. This was further impacted by an issue where Explosive Rounds were negatively effecting damage, which was addressed in a recent hotfix. To further address the player feedback, we are planning to increase Scout Rifle damage by 15% in a future patch. Stay tuned for updates.

I will say you guys over at Bungie are really good at ignoring the real issues inherent with this game (and the series as a whole), such as low exotic drop rates, throttled level progression, lack of content at launch, lack of content for expansions, no matchmaking (even for world activities), and your collective inability to reasonably respond to these issues (like, for example, reducing the exotic drop rate to virtually zero in order to cater to the 10 gambling addicts who want to wait five years before getting a drop). I don’t get why these are still “things.” And for the idiots, “game dev is too hard” isn’t an excuse. Wake the -blam!- up. You purchased access to a thing, only to be denied the thing through a gambling mechanism. Think about that when you say “I like the exotic drop rate because it now takes me a year to get the super duper power gun that goes boom.” Back to Bungie, the player base consistently revolts because you are either unwilling or unable to respond to player feedback in a measured and reasonable fashion. Start the base game with more base content (more raids, more explorable areas, more strikes, and a dedicated horde mode at launch), and people won’t complain as much about level progression (at least until they’re done with the content, which would take longer than a damn day to complete). We need only see The Elder Scrolls Online (and its console version) as proof that more content at launch is better. Add optional matchmaking for all activities, and let the player base deal with whatever consequences that ensue (I’m still not convinced that LFG is any better, to be honest). Finally, just tweak the -blam!-ing drop rate for exotics and things that make you more powerful and raid-ready. PEOPLE WILL LEAVE YOUR GAME YET AGAIN IF YOU MAKE THE BEST CONTENT INACCESSIBLE FOR A LONG TIME. Why is this still a thing? These are things people reiterate to you time and time and time again. We sound like broken records. Here’s some food for thought: It’s a seller’s market when it comes to the Destiny franchise. There really is no other game like it out there right now. Congratulations! I cannot speak for anyone else, but I always come back because I like playing good FPS’s and I like to play online with other people from time to time. Cool-working guns are a bonus. You’ve made a good game, at least when it comes to making a solid coop shooter with interesting weapons and mechanics (the story hurts my brain, though). What do you think will happen once another publisher makes a similar game, learning from your mistakes in the meanwhile while offering more launch content and a better in-game economy that is player-friendly? A publisher without your baggage and track record for screwing over the player base through bad micro-transactions and progression throttling? I, for one, will not be coming back to this game. I will jump ship and not look back. You may think it unlikely, but there will come a point when a viable competitor will rise and possibly surpass you by offering a better games-as-a-service coop, online experience. Bungie’s decision to ship a minimum viable product will come back to bite Bungie in the ass. Edit: I just wanted to thank all who meaningfully responded to this response. As I wrote down below, I’ve uninstalled the game. As a result, I won’t be responding to any more comments in the near future. Happy hunting, Guardians! :o)
