Yeah, I totally agree on that -_-
Even I, who did quite a lot of prep work for Forsaken, have some problems. I also didn't get a single Forsaken-exotic yet, but they're looking into it so just hold on a bit longer :)

I got a few weapons now, twin tailed fox is brilliant in PVE. The bow is awful in PVE. No exotic armour though. A few old weapons at new light levels. Got the borealis from Xur (it wasn't available on Xbox previously.) Also got the catalyst next day for it. Also catalyst for vigilance wing 2 days ago, but in crucible getting 250 kills shows how bad it now is.

My advice- don’t bother grinding for vigilance catalyst, and bows are FANTASTIC for pve. At their current state (before the scout rifle buff) they are just a much more powerful and versatile version of scout rifles. Before forsaken scout rifles were a main choice for pve and they have since been replaced by bows for the spot of top tier primary long range weapon. The only thing that realistically outperforms bows are god rolled auto-rifles, pulses or hand cannons. Hopefully that will include some scouts after the buff but I like bows for the time being.
