Scout Rifle Damage
At the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken, Scout Rifle damage was reduced for PvE activities. This was further impacted by an issue where Explosive Rounds were negatively effecting damage, which was addressed in a recent hotfix.
To further address the player feedback, we are planning to increase Scout Rifle damage by 15% in a future patch.

3 RepliesPlease give the fusion rifles a bit of love, none seem to be as good as my old thesan fr4 from D1, telesto is very good but the rest seem to be under powered, with shotguns being so dominant in crucible now I really want to melt people with fusions but they just don’t feel the same as destiny 1.

WOW! You have have no one to blame but yourself when your player base leaves because of all this shadiness. Remember when you throttled the xp and didnt tell anyone? Why do you guys do stuff like this? It only hurts your credibility.

Gonna get hard core pvp players whining for a dmg increase. Just so they can whine how its broken the next week. Then bungie will over compensate and nerf it more just so they can whine about that it was reduced too much.

Scout rifles are in a horrible place. I used them all the time in D1. They just have never felt right in D2, not even the damage,just the overall feel. I would use nameless midnight,from time to time in year one, and it at least felt ok. First time I used it in year 2, i could see the damage drop off,and didn't even feel the same as in year 1. Who ever works on scout rifles,on the bungie development team, needs to go back and play D1, to see and feel the difference. Some of the worst scout rifles from D1,feel better than some of the best scout rifles of D2.

2 RepliesWhy were scouts nerfed to begin with? They were weak af and you could out range them with any pulse. Should we prepare for a new scout meta? If so, how long do you think it'll be before you nerf them again thanks to the crybabies? I saw a video, pre-forsaken, in which bungie employee's claimed you'd be stopping with the nerfs and tackling issues with buffs, do we need to wait for D3 for the common sense hot fix at bungie studios?

Here we go again, just like the poor ARs back in D1Y1... nerf, nerf, nerf. Oh, they shoot blanks now? Nerf em again to be pew pew sounds instead of any ammo at all. Seriously though, the community is literally crashing because of this absurdly inflated infusement system, and the idiots go and unwarrantedly nerf scouts just because.

Scouts were rather weak and lackluster from the start which saddened me since I loved scout rifles.. i used nothing but the hung jury in D1, and there is no other gun in D2 that can take its place or compare.. Stop with this un-needed nerfing, and actually do something that the community is outraged about. Like the masterwork cores!
