At the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken, Scout Rifle damage was reduced for PvE activities. This was further impacted by an issue where Explosive Rounds were negatively effecting damage, which was addressed in a recent hotfix.
To further address the player feedback, we are planning to increase Scout Rifle damage by 15% in a future patch.
Stay tuned for updates.

So........is there a reason you guys nerfed Scouts when Forsaken dropped without telling us at the time? What other weapons did you nerf without telling us?
-
Incoming .15 scout rifle buff
-
That's really good, it's really tiring that you have to basically hit an ordinary legionary like 10 times with a scout in Gambit to kill them

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 9/22/2018 3:23:37 PMI give this post 0.04% & 3 Edge Transits for effort
-
Powerful drops are not fixed. Things are still dropping lower.
-
15% wont help scout rifles at all....

Edited by spaceme17: 9/23/2018 4:58:10 PMWell, that is what every post was complaining about in the Feedback forum isn't it. Good thing the Masterwork Core economy is absolutely perfect.
-
For real 15% buff or is the decimal in the wrong place.....again
-
Masterwork economy? Nobody likes it. Just change it already.
-
At least youre fixing it so thats good. Scouts are pretty upsetting right now. Barely see them being used now
-
nice. just got the DC scout and it seemed a little "meh." still dig the weapon. glad to see it's being adjusted.
-
This would explain why my Nameless Midnight Forsaken drop with explosive rounds felt way too weak. It seemed like each shot did the same damage as each individual burst bullet from my Go Figure, so about 4 times weaker? I almost sharded it right there, but I just vaulted it. Hopefully it gets returned to its former glory!
-
Maybe that Bungie-rolled Vouchsafe I got will be relevant. Lol
-
Thanks for the update, also THANK YOU for balancing weapons for PVE and PVP separately. This is what makes both modes better. Being able to up the damage just for PVE is huge!
-
I thought scout rifles felt like crap in pve. I got a cut and run during the story and I was using it for like a minute before I realized that the damn thing was doing less than half of a handcannons damage per shot and it only barely shoots faster.
-
I was about to say. I have a great roll on my vouchsafe and it was doing absolutely zero earlier. Extended Mag, Ambitious Assassin, Explosive Rounds. It literally took 4 shots to kill a vandal.
-
Hey, I’ll take it!
-
Hopefully it'll be enough to 1 tap with high impact ones on most small mobs like vandals, dregs, acolytes, etc. I love bows and all, but scouts feel like absolute butt compared to all other options right now. They still deserve d1 values entirely tho, especially in pvp. 71 crit and 49 to body. No sense in constantly catering to pulses and ez cannons and letting them be 3-4 shots always with no regards to aim.
-
Awesome! I'll be glad to get my scouts back as a strong weapon choice. P.s. *affecting
-
Glad to know I’m not insane, I knew something felt wrong with scout rifles

Edited by LizardthaTongue: 9/22/2018 2:47:02 PMyou can please some people some of the time....... etc etc etc!! *yawn

When I got my first high-impact Scout Rifle in Forsaken, I tested it out in the EDZ. It took two shots to kill the average Shank. Meanwhile, low-impact Sidearms can do it in just one. I thought I was experiencing technical difficulties or something. Nearly went downstairs to inspect my router. Thanks for clarifying.

Pulse rifles need a nerf
-
Then in the future, it got “buffed” 0.015%
-
HIGH IMPACT SCOUT RIFLES HAVE BEEN IMPACTED THEIR RATE OF FIRE IS BUGGED TO FIRE AT 140RPM pls bungi
-
15%... So now they're no longer Styrofoam guns I toss at the enemy but now a small paperwieght I can chuck at them. Bungie.... you do know that currently the best rifle primary in game right now that feels fine are pulse rifles? Shit, Crucible is littered with them and you have a quest chain to get an OP pulse..... Still going to use my bows and Death by Scorn sidearms since they feel like the most well balanced weapons.
