I don't mind diversity but you can't just throw it in without development or build up like any romance novel. It just feels... forced and disconnects me from the characters.

The whole character was bad, but her being gay wasn't the problem. Everybody is focusing on her being gay as if it was done to make her interesting. If she would have been straight it would have still sucked.

They should have made the comics about her accomplishments as one of the most powerful gunslingers, like fan videos have done a better job with these characters than Bungie can.

I totally agree. The comic sucks. The character sucks. But it is written by a pre-teen author. What do you expect?

I know. If you want really good character development play fallout New Vegas, they did what Bungie tried to do but way better, they managed to make gay characters with personality.
