Val Ca'uor lore?

I've searched every where I can but haven't seen much. Any idea on the back story of the new raid lair Spire of Stars boss? It's been bugging me a lot and I'm just curious. TIA.

Not really sure, but from my understanding, he was one of the Shadows of Calus and for whatever reason he invaded the Leviathan and...did he just kill Calus himself?
