Polaris Lance Vs Graviton Lance Problem

Polaris Lance is better the Graviton Lance

Graviton Lance is better then Polaris Lance

So this is a simple problem I've noticed with these two exotics and its rather interesting to compare how they fundamentally have a similar idea behind them but take a different direction. Polaris- Pros- Very good Boss damage, can have three damage types go off at the same time (bullet, explosion, and burn),near infinite ammo from intrinsic perk, and great range/stability. Cons- Slow rate of fire as well as mediocore damage overall, doesn't handle movement very well, can't handle groups well (even with the firefly perk from catalyst won't be able to fix that issue.) heavy reliance on a crit spot not shaking to maximize damage as well as activate perk. Graviton Lance- Pros-Good damage to boss, functions more like a scout rifle then pulse, fantastic at clearing enemy clumps in pve/pvp, laser accurate stability/shot pattern, and comes with built in Axion bolts on perk explosion, and perk doesn't require anything more then killing the target with bullet or explosions to trigger. Cons- Heavy targets can shrug the graviton lance away, needs kills to make itself work, doesn't handle close range well. The big problem here the two are essentially the same weapon functionality with one being vastly superior in almost every category that being the graviton lance. The polaris lance needs more power in the perk as well as a unique firing type thats a happy medium of the damage it does but at a faster rate. The other recommendation is to give the firefly catalyst buff a similar effect as the gravitons explosion only without the tracking darts and more of the burning dot. Otherwise the Graviton Lance will just overshadow the Polaris Lance completely in the Energy slot exotic. The Polaris Lance needs to feel like it isn't throttled if you don't get a crit or crit hit kill; so adding that extra damage to making the explosion would help it immensely as well as keep the "Lance" identity similar. Another recommendation is to cause the dot from the Polaris 5th shot to make the target have body shots count as crit hits while the dot is up on the target to make procing the explosion again easier and to keep chaining your shots at a much more manageable effect. Let me hear your guys ideas to make the Polaris Lance better so it's not overshadowed but can compete with the Graviton Lance for the energy exotic spot.
