The biggest issue right now I have is loot progression, and something to chase.
Bungie realizes that the new progression system isn't working for solo players, and are taking steps to improve it.
Someone did the math, and----if you raid----you have up to EIGHTEEN "powerful gear" drops PER WEEK...PER CHARACTER. Whereas, if you don't....you only have access to about FIVE per character per week.
I'm ALL for people who play the hardest content progressing faster, and getting more-and-better loot.
But that kind of discrepancy is ridiculous....and is a recipie for pushing solo players out of the game.

hi it was datto (youtuber)

The irony is its the hardcore that devour content that needed slowing and Bungie effectively accelerated them.
-
They slowed down the streamers and no-lifers. The problem is that they've put eveyrone else on a hamster wheel.

We are in week two of the DLC, and I have played primarily solo. I’m having no trouble progressing. I am most certainly not hindered from taking part in any of the content.

and yet 2 days ago you were defending it. seems you defend it right up till bungie won,t even defend themselves then you change your tune.....

I wasn’t defending it. I said the idea of the changes weren’t a problem. But once the DLC dropped and I saw how heavy handed they were in throttling progression I said that this was going to be a problem. And over the week as I’ve seen how unrewarding the strike playlist is compared to the old raids. Which is why—days before this week’s TWAB—-that Bungie needed to fix this with a hot fix, or else risk chasing solo players and casuals out of the game. The idea is fine. They went to far in the implementation.
