Yeah but wen ya buy a multiplayer game u kinda expect all multiplayer content to be accessible in game, otherwise make it clear from day 1 that only some of the games features are in the game and charge us accordingly

They did, and they did. Everyone knew Destiny 2 would have raids, and everyone knew they would work just like D1 raids. Same with Nightfalls. They then charged you $60, as that was the same price people paid for D1, and they were happy with that price. So they DID tell you, and they DID charge you appropriately.
-
But destiny is a multiplayer game, why is there no matchmaking for trials, nightfall and raid? Regardless of what was in d1, d1 should have had it too, it didn’t and that was wrong. The reason they did it again in d2 is because the fanboys and lfg elitists are happy with bungie shafting them and giving them a half assed game, the rest of us just ain’t that easily pleased and expect the full package
-
I prefer it the way it is now because I can chose who I matchmake with. It isn’t up to chance if I have idiots, absolute gods, under leveled or over leveled people. I get to choose the circumstance of my experience, and I would rather it stayed that way.
-
So why would it bother u if 6 idiots got teamed up via in game matchmaking? Who is it affecting if they can’t get the raid done or whatever? Too many people feel the need to stop other people having fun for no reason whatsoever, this is why the bungie community will always be divided
-
Trust me, those 6 people would not be having any fun they would be on these forums cussing and hollering about the raids being bullshit, they are impossible ect. I've seen one of them already because he couldn't get the new lair done on the first day. Bungie has already said that matchmaking on the raids wasn't going to happen because they are designed to be challenging for a team. 6 randoms existing and not communicating is not a team. There really is no point spending the effort into implimenting matchmaking for something that is obviously not going to work, and will only make the fools who try frustrated because they can't do it.
-
So? Who cares if they find it tough or not? Give people the choice and quit telling people what they can and can’t do. Maybe bungie would find it embarrassing if 6 randoms went in and nailed the raid cos let’s be honest, not every solo player is bad, everyone just assumes solo players are shitty scrubs that need to git gud.
-
I'm not saying anyone is bad. You can have 6 really good solo players in the raid, and they will end up pissed off after failing the raid. Why will they fail? Because they are not being good teammates. If you are in a raid, your not solo. Now add in no communication, forget it. Even in a party, raids fail because of that one guy failing to make a call out when he is supposed to, or not listening to the call out that tells him he needs to do his thing. Why do something that won't add anything to the game? Won't add enjoyment, won't add quality of life improvements, the only one that will enjoy it will be the troll you matched up with, that grabbed the relic and jumped off the ledge, knowing you can't do anything but quit. You want to make an in game lfg, great. That should have already been a thing a long time ago. However matchmaking would be a waste of time, and resources. If you can see, and reply to me, you can lfg a raid today. You can make all sorts of excuses why you can't do this, but in the end, it's just excuses. It would be much better in game though.
-
I raided in destiny 1 and excuse or not, lfg is riddled with elitism but whatever dude, u guys are more interested in what other players are doing or in your case, stopping them from doing. Regardless of how badly people would fail or succeed it would have absolutely no effect on your game and your awesome lfg but still u all feel the need to try and prevent matchmaking. Only good thing about no matchmaking is I won’t use lfg and will have zero chance of ever partying up with people like yourself, so yeah I guess it’s not all bad 😎
-
You can call me, and whoever you want an elitist. Makes no difference to me. It also doesn't make it so, and doesn't make you right.
-
Good one chief, keep up the fight to prevent solo players from having fun, doing a great job so far 👍
-
I can't stop you or anyone from doing whatever you want to in the game. Or you can keep making excuses why you can't. Whatever you prefer. You can even make the excuse that I personally made it so you can't.
-
Oh I can l, if I wanted to I’d raid, as it currently stands though I don’t need max light to do what I want to do. Bungie forced us down a single avenue in d1 to play raids and trials, the majority of people I met were toxic AF and that was my brother inviting them into our party. There are good helpful people out there but sadly they are very outnumbered and luckily max light means jack shit
-
^This. It is baffling why not every single activity in Destiny and Destiny 2 has optional matchmaking. Who the -blam!- cares if people they don't know -blam!- up a raid because they teamed up with randoms.
-
How do you choose who you matchmake with? If you mean go in with a team, then this dosent affect you to matchmake The optimal system should be the option to go in solo, mm, or fireteam Everybody can have their prefered play type, without excluding anyone
-
I chose who I matchmake with meaning when I’m on the forums or LFG I can see and talk to people before committing to inviting them.
-
Right ....premade team ...then optional mm has no affect on your gameplay, for others no mm means it does
