No you haven't accomplished anything before. You used to do public events and get free loot from the clan thats why you were high light. It has been mentioned again and again this is not a game designed for solo play and you need a fireteam to finish end game. You are frustrated because it actually takes work and communicating with others now to get higher light.
Also, matchmaking was proved to be a bad idea in this DLC. Heroic strikes proved that the system will not work for end game as anyone will join and rage quit easy because the content is too hard.
At this point you have two solutions, either work on your social anxiety, or drop the game completely and play games that cater to your anti-social needs.
Edit: I apologize If anyone finds this harsh. But still remains the fact of Destiny today.

I did multiple 350 heroic strikes and 270 Nightfalls with randoms and always got them finished. Exodus Crash with Solar Singe was the only one that's nearly impossible even with a fireteam of good friends. So what's your point?
-
On the package it is advertised as a great SOLO experience with great story content! Instead you get artificial obstacles, old reskined content, slight variations and timegating and a terrible story that breaks the lore. Go away fanboi.
-
I’m pretty sure that’s only for the story mode..... that’s what I think anyways
-
It also says we get a raid with HoW but we didn't. Sorry kid.
-
Heroic strikes are not hard.. Getting match made with people who don’t know how to use abilities, read and understand what the modifiers are and actually have a clue how to play the game is hard
-
Missing the big picture here ..
-
Sorry not following you. Big picture?
-
I meant that people will use matchmaking for hard content and then rage quit, leaving the other team stranded. The heroics strikes last week was an example of that.
-
Oh right. Completely agree on that. End game activity def doesn’t need matchmaking.
-
There should be matchmaking for every activity in the game.....you don't have to use it.
-
I find the heroic strikes easy if you play em right the adds are annoying but the bosses get melted if you take advantage of the burns but you always get matched with people who rush in like they are untouchable or something xD or maybe it's thier first time trying the new heroic strike system but my point is everybody has a chance to learn and if they had raid matchmaking it would be the same but atleast give people a chance to learn.
-
Meh. I don’t agree. I remember stopping by VOG and helping people out at the plates and getting invited to fill a fireteam. That is how destiny was supposed to work. It was a cooperative game built around the concept of light vs. darkness. Not “must be a buddy of mine, have 12 prestige completions of the raid” vs. the darkness. The whole clan reward for nothing conept seemed directed at the younger generation of gamers who play for loot. If there aren’t pretty immediate rewards, they don’t want to play. It’s why Fortnite does so well. You are constantly picking up gear. It’s what people look for in games. In house matchmaking could work. Will it be a pain in the ass? Yep. But it could work. Make it optional and everything is fine.
-
Plus I’ve had no big issues running heroic’s using matchmaking, yeah it can be rough, must have wiped 10 times on Valus Thuun with Glass modifier, but felt so good when finally got it done. No reason normal nightfall can’t be match made as well.
-
From last week, 90% of heroics I joined was at the final boss. What does that tell you? People quit and find another match. I'm a day 1 destiny player and i still disagree with matchmaking for end game.
-
Because people were severely underleveled and were also caught by surprise. I was 335 in heroic Pyramidion and dropped right at the boss. It was a learning experience for sure but after a few wipes we(randoms)got it. After light levels rise heroic strikes will feel almost just like before but somedays they will be harder and somedays a little easier because of the modifiers. People should remember to take time to adapt and allow others time to adapt too.
-
Yes but you're missing the point. I'm talking in a generic way not about heroics last week specifically. Players will easily join and leave if matchmaking was present in all content. That would be an issue for someone who actually wants to finish an activity. pre-determined fireteams solves this because of the requirements of the fireteam leader. Now with that said, I don't mind an upgraded version of the guided games because it's kind of dead now.
-
Thats why you implement OPTIONAL matchmaking, if you have your team, go...if you mm, you deal with the possible repercussions. How does that in anyway prove a detriment to anyone, all bases are covered
-
They did add it, its called guided games. Failed miserably.
-
Guided games are not matchmaking, guides games are their idea of a sherpa, and the wait time is inexcusable Why would optional matchmaking be an issue if you want to use it ..go, if you have your team already established its a non issue, wheres the problem beyond your own personal preference For a "social co op" game, bungie puts way too many speedbumps in front of the social aspect
-
I don’t see them adding optional mm. Bungie will either make it always mm or leave how it is. They have never been good at giving people options.

Edited by NeroAngelo: 5/17/2018 10:12:53 AMWHY is this excuse still used? IF said person was afraid of people dropping out , you know what they can do ?! MAKE THEIR OWN FIRETEAM! Why are elitist always so adamant at trying to prove Matchmaking should not be in the game? It's an option, and it's great, i still don't get why Nightfall can't be open Matchmaking ala Heroic Strikes, hell the Heroics are harder and I've enjoyed them using matchmaking. Bottom line : Matchmaking is good for people who don't want the BS hassle of external apps, and the elitist people can opt to NOT use it if they choose....
-
Im not an elitist. Im simply pointing the current situation. I enjoy solo play as well. It's impossible with the current situation though.
-
There is a very easy solution! A player could "block player X". The blocked player can no longer join games started by players who have blocked him/her. It is all about design and how you fine tune systems. Also, a matchmaking system will act as a stepping stone for friend invites and clans. Also, if you only go in with a performed fireteam no matchmaking grievances will ever touch you.
-
That you get your milestone quicker? 😂 Don’t get me wrong, first week I had a few like that as well, but seems better this week as people are closer to 350 light.
