Fighting the same battle here. Survived the surgery only to have complications from the chemotherapy almost take me out. Sorry to hear your battle isn't going better than mine. Say hello to my abuelito for me.

 • I'm cancer free right now. The chemo did a number on my system. Anemia got bad, did a number on my thyroid and immune system in general. Getting better will take longer is all.

 • Working on it. Beat the cancer for now. The chemo did a number on my immune system. Got hospitalized for anemia, that's under control now, working on getting thyroid back to normal. Didn't really want to alarm anyone here. I expected to be treated just like everyone else. Stayed away from posting or getting into intense discussions on days I felt... unclear. It's slow, but I'm on my way back. Still prefer to using the app on my phone rather than sitting at a computer.

Unless you’re doing like a DOJO RP or something. Whether you feel it or not, I’m betting you’re a stronger and wiser person after having gone through it. I haven’t suffered anything as hard as you I’m betting, but what I’ve learned from what little I probably comparatively have is that suffering isn’t in vain unless you allow it to be. I don’t say this to stroke your ego, but to encourage you. You aren’t behind in life and perhaps others may not see it, but it’s true. You are where you’re at for a reason that is perhaps beyond your understanding at the moment. And on top of that, you now have a connection to relate to other people with who have or are going through what you have. Stay strong. I hope this didn’t seem cheesy or empty, but if it was, let me know.

 • Not cheesy or empty. It does make me wonder sometimes. I hope something positive comes out of it. I did learn a lot about medical cannabis. I feel very different about it than I used to. CBD stops cancer growth while THC kills it outright. It should never had been put on the schedule one. It was other industries that lobbied for it. Hemp makes superior products- natural fibers for clothing, oil for fuel, natural biodegradable plastic, a better source of paper (save the forests) and hemp doesn't even get you high. It became illegal to grow along with cannabis. Schedule one means deadly without medical purposes. It's the oldest medicine known to man. It boosts the pain killing properties of opiates without boosting addictiveness. I could go on. I've become an advocate of medical cannabis and industrial hemp. I used to be "I'm ok about it." Now that I take it under my tongue every night, and the blood tests are coming back as normal levels as far as the cancer goes, I need to tell everyone- don't believe the lies! It's a big reason I'm still here.
