Please, post your favourite moment in destiny, whether it be your first raid completion or just goofing around with friends in the tower, what is your most memorable experience? Let us know! (If only to forget what the game has become)
Ill start: mine was at the middle of TTK when three friends and I decided to try hide and seek on Venus patrol, lets just say it ended in laughing fits and one of us becoming extremely frustrated.
-
“Dismantle mines, yes? Or, you DIEEEEE” Damn Variks voice was cool to hear
-
The day in year 1 an exotic gave me Hawkmoon
-
Running people over with sparrows in combined arms. Watching them fly made me happy
-
When Bungie killed D2 with their lack of fore thought. I like watching them crash and burn.
-
Raids at 2:00 a.m. those were the best. Now I haven’t touched the aid since CoO launched.
-
Getting pre-nerfed Icebreaker.
-
Actually playing every night with my friends. A few beers, some PVE and some PVP.. It was a ritual. We used to get in chat and shoot aliens/guardians while we talked about our real lives. That does not happen with Destiny 2.

Back when hunters weren't a plague Oh wait
-
My first ever Wrath of the Machine.
-
Doing my first raid, going successfully fighting oryx going good and then -blam!- my sister unplugs the internet cord. -blam!-ing jeez tucking hell shes a -blam!-ing hoe!
-
The sweet seconds when you heard the exotic sound that you got one, the grimoire appear at the bottom of the screen, and then the exotic appearing on the right hand side of your screen. No feeling like it.
-
The first time doing VoG, the first time getting my Ghorn, and meeting and awesome Australian chick through the game that I dated for a while whoop whoop
-
Receiving my 1st legendary ( Aries Nemesis x4 ) before any of my buddies had even got a legendary. The saltiness the joy. Then my first exotic Heart of the praxic fire. I wore those robes forever! Fusion grenade shitstorm. Recieving Atheons epilogue, my first night fall at lvl 26ish. Remembering those void shielded minotaurs damn near invincible. Damn I'm gonna go play D1. Nothing comes close to this feeling in D2, there is nothing to chase everything is handed to you. They really screwed the pooch with D2.

Killing Omnigul by myself, got Hawkmoon to drop. Didn't take it off till they nerfed it....

Edited by booris: 2/3/2018 7:59:32 PM- In the D1 Beta, thinking "Uncommon" rarity items were actually Uncommon. - Me and a friend thinking we were so good that we could 2-Man VOG at Level 26. - Being so trash me and my friends had to do the lowest level Heroic Strike for 4 or 5 weeks to get enough strange coins to buy an Exotic from Xûr. - Getting my first Legendary (Queen's Wrath Robes) after completing one of the missions and screaming into the mic. - Getting Gjallarhorn from my first PoE. - Getting up before reset in the morning to do Trials bounties in Year 2 and trying to get the armour. - My First (and also last) Trials flawless. Stayed in the Lighthouse for hours taking screenshots.

I have 3 moments that stick out. The first is when I got Outbreak Prime...loved that gun. The second that comes to mind was Black Spindle, took three tries and beat it with 1 second left. The third is when I got Queens Bow and got messages from people saying...hey nice snipes...I was God awful at sniping but for some reason I could wreck with that gun.

I was a noob back around the time of late TDB. My friend gave me his old copy of Destiny for me to play before he left for Army School. I was playing with a friend on a few Rumble matches one day and then I ended up SmoggyPlutoing my first exotic: No Land Beyond. Fun gun, especially since that was before the major sniper nerfs had hit us. Funny thing, Bungie could never justify the nerfs in spite of making them out of consequence from only PvP reasons. Their “attempt” at making Destiny 1 more competitive wasn’t the most successful, but it sure as hell beat the disaster that is D2 being more geared towards “competitive” play.

Edited by Censorship: 2/3/2018 6:00:00 PMBeating Oryx within the first week of launch of the raid on my third attempt with a bunch of randoms. We were singing and launching the whole time. Once we killed him my hands went numb in joy.
-
When Xur sold icebreaker. there was a huge line of people buying the gun. There was a lot of screaming by me and I have to admit I did pee my pants from all the excitement.

Helping My Team Is Always TOP Priority. - old
1st VoG run on Hard mode year 1...Finished at 2AM to see the Vex Mythoclast drop, and screamed “Yes!” at the top of my lungs just to have my ex wake up and ask me “Wtf is your problem?” -
Vog for the first time, nothing has compared to it since.
-
Aetheons Epilogue had me exited because of how big the clip was lol. Got that on my first ever normal raid run. Then I’d have to say learning to be sword bearer for Crota was a fun time. Sucked having to change from my warlock or titan at the end to rejoin and beat him with my hunter, over and over lol because we couldn’t find another sword guy.
-
VoG gorgon maze back when warlocks could push teammates with there melee. Or shoulder charging with my titan. I would keep pushing my teammates out of cover or from the rocks. Those where the good days. Also Kings falls ship jumping and whipeout parts.
-
Vex Mythoclast!!! Had something stupid like 15k kills with that weapon alone, it was a nice gun :(
-
When I got the Vex Mythoclast on my first hard completion. Lel. Talk about lucky. Oh and the raid helmet. :)
KUPO!!!™
