The emu took parts with them, sprinting away faster than any humanoid could hope to move as they stole what they could in hopes of reverse engineering it. Several dozen got in his way to simply slow him down just to make sure.

[i]Well.. one would attempt to ensure that such parts did not reach the emus.[/i] [i]Victoria's black and red set of ceramite armoring promptly crashed down in front of the emus who were attempting to escape, her superhero landing releasing a circular wave of treacherous green flame that melted away at the birds around her. She had her power gladius drawn, with no firearms bolted at her side however, as she would become a whirlwind of fire and disruption.[/i] "[i]Mors inimicus![/i]"

The birds had spread out, making sure at least some of the parts would be returned. The remaining birds tackled and pecked the woman in the joints and head.

[i]Victoria would not try to stop the birds with slow melee, or at least slow at the time. She needed to find a leader to end. From her left hand, she raised it high, punching some of the emus in the head as they came for her head, as green fire extended outwards into an eight-foot long "sword" - it looked like a weightless hunk of flame, as she would then swing horizontally into the horde of foes.[/i]
