The wounded woman was in no condition to disagree or to defend herself. She simply hurt too badly. The android animal noticed that as it went to reach for her hand, the woman almost jumped, but accepted it none the less. She needed the assistance. She followed the machine, half-limping, half-walking, trying to keep a decent pace as they headed to the apartment.

*At around 9:30 in the morning, if the woman was awake she would hear a shower turn on as Alice began to bathe herself. Most would assume that androids didn’t need to clean themselves, but Alice was different in the fact that she was essentially a Swiffer Duster from the neck down.*
-
She heard the shower kick on, and that was enough to rouse her. Her past life had taught her always to be nervous about little sounds like that, but Rachael soon remembered that this was no longer her formal life. She was puzzled, though. Why was an Android showering? Wasn’t it a robot?

Edited by Skatch142: 1/26/2018 3:34:48 PM*About twenty full minutes passed before the shower cut back off. Alice soon stepped out of her room fully clothed in a pair of cargo pants and a tank top. Her head seemed a little shinier than it was before and her fur was damp but not dripping.* <Good morning.>
-
Rolling over on the couch, she yawned, deciding that now was as good a time as any to get up. Swinging her legs over the edge of the couch, she smiled at Alice, before tapping out a message again on the coffee table. I never thought I’d be so grateful to sleep on a couch.
-
<I’m glad you are. I can find a way to make it more comfortable later today. Do you need food?>
-
Yes, food would be really nice right now. She replied, tapping the response out as usual. It had been over a day since she’d eaten anything of substantive value.
-
<Okay. Do you wish for me to join you? Or are you alright on your own?>
-
It is your home. Who am I to tell you what to do in your own home? She smiled. It did amuse her. It was not often that anyone was so nice to her, but she quite enjoyed it. It was a welcome change.

<I am an android. Unless you would like the meat I feed to Bob Ross, there is no food in here.> *She opened the refrigerator and took out a raw steak. She tore a small piece off and dropped it in a bowl then put the steak in a zip lock bag and tossed it back into the fridge.* <Breakfast!> *The caracal scampered out of her bedroom and tackled the bowl. It growled, pinning the steak down as it began to dine.*
-
It took her a moment to realize that Bob Ross was the cat, but afterwards, it was rather amusing. I suppose we’re going out, then. She tapped, before standing up.
-
*She nodded and opened the door for Rachael.* <I know a diner nearby.>
-
Following the Android, Rachael headed out the door, silent.
-
*She closed and locked the door, then took out her wallet and handed Racheal a gift card.* <The woman at the register told me there was no more money on this. You can use it to speak while we walk.>
-
Rachael followed the machine, card in hand. She could tap almost completely unnoticed with it if she held it just right. Thank you. For all of this.
-
<You are quite welcome.> *She said as she led the woman down the hall and out of the building.*
-
She was quiet as she left the building with Alice. Upon their arrival outdoors, however, the two of them were greeted with a sight that turned Rachael paler than a ghost. Armored trucks and mercenaries, a full-on patrol team. They were walking down the street along with several vehicles, all armed and bearing advanced combat hardsuits. On their shoulder pauldrons and on the sides of the vehicles, there was a stylized hawk on a gust of wind, what looked to probably be their insignia. Rachael tapped the card rapidly. We need to go. We really need to go.
-
*Alice calmly pulled Racheal back into the building, somehow managing to not attract any attention as she did. She led the woman back up to her apartment, closing and locking the door behind them.* <We will need to make preparations...> *She pushed the door to her room open and ushered Racheal into the other room. It appeared to be an arsenal, a storage area, and a workshop combined into one space. Alice dawned her trench coat as well as her sheathed sword.* <I believe I have a mask to hide one’s identity. You can dress as a warrior in the Dojo.>
-
Rachael followed her back into the building, hoping to God none of the soldiers had happened to look over at her. If she’d been seen, someone would notice her on the footage, and they’d be after her and Alice. Following Alice, it appeared as if something turned on in Rachael. She was moving as if she was experienced with this, quickly looking over the weapons and the gear that Alice had available.
-
*She picked up a set of strange armor and handed it to Racheal. Sure it was plate armor and quite light, but from the ballistic curtain (which looked more like a dark grey skirt that cut off at the knees and parted in the front,) she could tell the armor was able to stop more than blades.* <This armor is both quite strong, and designed after a common set used by soldiers in my father’s home dimension. They will not recognize it, and you will not appear to be from this world.>
-
Plate armor, at least made from the proper materials, was actually a rather effective form of protection. Rachael looked to it with a mild disdain. Lack of covering for her legs, and she knew that anyone with half a brain would aim for the least-armored areas like that. Nonetheless, it was what she had and she took it. She nodded in understanding as she slipped it on, hoping that she was going to get weapons too.
-
*She handed Rachael a pair gauntlets which reached up to her elbows and a set of greaves, both matching the body armor. One they were put on the only weak points in the armor appeared to be a small part of her thighs, her feet and her head.* <You should be very protected now, but that armor is meant primarily for energy weapons. If they start firing ballistic weapons, we should still run.> *She found a reflective black mask with markings on it in a strange language. It was certainly military grade, but from the symbols it looked unearthly. There were only two holes for her to see through and it resembled some sort of alien take on a ballistic mask. Alice then began to sort through her weapons.*
-
She rapid-tapped the credit card. They look to be using primarily ballistics weapons. However, so long as they do not recognize me or discover my identity I should be safe. Rachael was quick to equip the armor and the ballistics mask. She immediately went over to Alice to look through the weapons, looking for something akin to her previous sword and submachine gun.
-
*She found an alien-looking submachine gun, the grip being made for four fingers rather than five. It would do, though. Luckily the armor had spaces for eight more magazines and a place to attach a sheath. Alice handed her a sword, similar to her own but shorter.*
-
She took the gun, looking it over and checking the magazine before clipping it to her hip. Taking more magazines, she made sure she was loaded with enough to defend herself and yet still remain light. To Alice, it appeared that Rachael had not been lying about her past. She moved swiftly and completely silently. Taking the sword, she tested the grip and weight before sheathing it on her back. Now at least she had some defense, though she hoped it wouldn’t be necessary.
-
*The sword had a black blade, one side sharpened and the other side toothed like half of a zipper. It wasn’t for sawing, but possibly for catching the blades of other swords.*
