[Article] The cost of doing business

Link to article on Medium Readtime: ~8min. tl;dr; Start a real conversation with a tone that you would come up with when you are talking to your parents. You all are customers not the creators, you have no right in demanding something after buying a product. You can bring in your opinion but please stop that toxic behaviour - no one is anonymous on the net and think of you reading your post in 5 years - would they make you proud? Edit2: Updated the topic title and link label to point directly towards the article. Thanks for the nice conversation.
Edit: The title and the link description are obviously written in an aggressive tone to draw attention beneath all the #hashtags - the whole point is about having a civilized conversation again. They are not meant to be offensive to anyone nor do I feel superior to you.
• Whilst it would always be desirable to communicate with as much respect as you can muster, to tell consumers to not use one of the few powers they have to affect change, is not only silly but self-detrimental. If people just remain silent, good companies don’t learn anything and bad companies continue to operate largely unscathed. Of course the greatest power we have is the money in our pocket but, after the purchase, our voice is what matters. By your logic, no-one should complain to the chef for being served a rubbish meal.
