I’d also like to see bonuses for the race of our character. Like exos could be stronger or have more durability. They would make great titans to reinforce that tank aspect or could balance out a hunter that cannot take as much damage. Awoken could have higher intelligence gaining a boost to how fast abilities charge or extend the duration of supers or something to that effect. Not sure if it was discussed in the reddit post and I missed it. It’s late.

  • Lol. Maybe the exos have a fluid like radiolaria (is that how you spell that?) in them. It doesn’t have to be white. It could be red. Oil? Hydraulic fluid ala president Lincoln in the hall of presidents at Disney? If you want to talk about inconsistencies. I’ve always wondered why the computers in the cosmodrome looked like something out of the 90’s when humanity was supposed to be so advanced, and it was in our future. What’s the deal with all the trains? We built our own Star Wars speeders, warmind, and warp speed space ships but rail transport was too good already to change? They were on every planet in D1. Sorry. Off topic. You just got me going.

  • While you might like to see this, it is an awful idea. Your ideas should just be given to classes thus increasing the separate aspects of each class. People shouldn’t have to choose their race based on anything other than cosmetic reasons unless they drastically increase the RPG aspects of the game. Some stat boosts aren’t enough. If they’re gonna do race bonuses they have to go all out along side going all out with making this game the RPG so many wanted. Take Skyrim for example. Each race has pretty drastic bonuses. Sure some are less drastic than others, but some of their bonuses are literally spells in the game that could take hours to get on any other race, like the Khajit. They have a night vision skill with no spell cost, whilst other races may need to level up skill trees, earn gold, and then buy the spell for night vision and still have a spell cost. Another example, and someone can correct me if I’m wrong here, is the Worgen race is World of Warcraft. They can literally morph into a different form that changes their stats and play style. What do these two games have in common that Destiny does not have? They are heavy RPG games. In its current state Destiny is just an FPS set in space. Race bonuses would not work, and as I have already said something as small as a stat boost would not be enough in a Destiny where race bonuses would work.

  • As this would fundamentally affect the player characters then there would need to be an ability to alter our existing choices. For example had I known being Awoken would have affected intelligence then I may / may not have selected that as my character type. We should never be locked into a character affecting ability/stat when information on it wasn't available at the time of our decision.
