He got hit bu the hilt bash wich would have sent a normal person to the ground, but he was no normal person.
He brought his blade up to block the chest strikes bringing the woman’s blade up with it from their he put his left leg behind her and kneed her with his right leg and tripping her with the left.

With that, Suzume gasped in pain and fell backwards, but it still did not seem as though she would give up. She still pulled herself up onto one knee, holding her sword in front of her with both hands in case he attacked further.
