The outskirts of the vast forest near the Dojo.
The sun hung low on the distant horizon near the seemingly endless forest a few hundred miles from the Dojo, and night was quickly approaching with each fleeting moment. Nighttime in the forest proved to be deadly more times than not, as the creatures and wildlife of the night that dwell within the forest are not so welcoming. Nevertheless, some still venture into the forest, even with the apparent dangers that lie within. Those that are not equipped or ready to fend off anything they may face within usually do not emerge again.
As the sun began to set in the distance, creating a mesmerizing array of colors along with its gradual departure, a lone figure slowly approached the forest, stopping on a sort of ridge overlooking it. The figure stared out at the brilliant sunset atop the ridge, the radiant sunlight illuminating her face and body, as well as the sheathed sword at her hip. This lone figure wore a large black jingasha atop her head, and a black bandana covered the left side of her face, hiding her left eye from sight. This unknown female figure was known as Suzume Hiroshi—though most regarded her as just a wanderer with some excessive skills with a blade.
As she peered out at the mystical sunset that she could barely view over the tops of the towering trees, she made note of her surroundings, glancing around to see if anyone else was nearby. Her golden lion-like tail flicked around a little bit as she returned her gaze to the sunset, and she sighs quietly, looking down for a few moments. As she did so, she heard faint footfalls nearby, and she instinctively moved her hand to the scabbard on her hip, ready to draw her blade if necessary.
Open.
Been forever since I did anything here.
The faint footfalls were soon followed by the sound of soft singing from around a nearby bend. almajidu, almajdu, almjd liman yasir li fi tajwali. almjid, almujid, almjd lilmalik aldhy yarshaduni ealaa tariqiin The footsteps grew louder, now with the metallic clank and click of armored boots being audible. A few moments later, the careful listener would have heard cloth rustling in the wind, a series of small clicks, and the slither of leather sliding across metal and cotton, followed by the sharp tap of a bit of metal bouncing against other metal.

-
Down the road and around the bend emerges the source of the singing. A humanoid in sliver armor, with a white tunic over it and a sword belted at his side, the hilt gleaming faintly. I say humanoid, for the person was most certainly not human. He had red skin, the color of bricks in an oven, with a pair of large horns like an antelope’s growing out of his forehead, starting just about his golden eyes, and pushing through his unruly mane of dark red hair, which came down to about halfway down his neck.
-
Suzume’s eye catches movement in the distance, and she turns and spots the figure in the distance, instantly recognizing that they were not human. Her intrigue was immediately apparent, and her hand strayed away from her scabbard. She shifted her weight to one side as she studied the figure in the distance, watching them intently.
-
He continued on his way, smiling and waving a hand in greeting when he spotted her, though she noticed he also shifted his left arm slightly to be in a better position to quickly grab the shield on his back if necessary.
-
Suzume greeted him with a traditional courteous bow, after which she stepped down from the ridge, slowly approaching the figure in the distance, each stride graceful and full of energy. She now noticed the figure in the distance did not appear to be human as she approached him, and her curiosity only grew more.
-
When they got within about ten feet of each other, he smiled again and returned the bow, albeit more clumsily in armor. “Hello and good day to you.”
-
“Greetings, and a good day to you as well.” Suzume returns his smile, her golden lion-like tail twitching around. “What brings you to the edge of the forest?”
-
“Simply traveling through, what of yourself?” His eyebrows pop up ever so slightly at the sight of the tail, but return to normal a moment later.
-
“Enjoying the serenity and the view. And the quiet. City is far too noisy for my liking.”
-
“I agree. It’s much more pleasant out in the natural world.”
-
Suzume nods, looking around and smiling a bit. “Yes, it is vey lovely. Nothing beats it, it seems.”
-
“Some things do, but not much. I’m Ali by the way.”
-
She turns to him and nods. “Suzume Hiroshi. I am just a wandering ronin, traveling across all manner of distant and faraway lands.”
-
“Well I’m in much the same boat, a paladin with neither a church nor a master, but I make it work.” He says with a shrug and a chuckle.
-
“As do I. Fitting that we should be of similar backgrounds and run into each other in such a serene place..”
-
“Fate has a sense of humor, at least some of the time.”
-
“Indeed...though in my experience, fate has led to destruction and heartbreak, but I shall not speak about that..”
-
“Never said it wasn’t a cruel humor, but I can’t change it, so why waste time mourning the fact.” He says with a shrug.
-
Suzume nods. “Agreed..” She then turns to the side, gazing around again and slowly reaching up and removing her large black jingasha, revealing her feline ears.
-
He cocks his head ever so slightly to the side in curiosity, then shrugs as he remembers his own appearance and makes no comment. “So are you traveling to anywhere?”
-
“At the present, no. I only arrived here recently, and I intend to stay for some time. Whether or not that proves to be detrimental to me or not is yet to be seen.”
-
“Well, it’ll be nice to see you around.”

the footsteps were made from a young looking faerie walking through the woods. The young faerie had long blonde hair, bright blue eyes and pointy ears. Her back however was to her clearly not noticing she was there. But this give her the view of her wings a double pair kinda like a dragonfly's but had a faint purplish blue coloring to them. There were interesting sight to see as well.

Suzume turned towards the unknown figure, intrigued by their dragonfly-like wings. Her hand moved away from her sheathed sword as she slowly stepped towards the faerie, her single eye locked upon the shadowy figure.
