What are you guys doing back in that office? Are you at least having meetings about this? Your department heads all need to be gathered together at this point discussing the solution to this. When EA Games faced the backlash from Star Wars Battlefront they literally fixed it overnight for their fans. You ALL need to call an emergency meeting and do the same for us. This is ridiculous! Eververse is In-game GAMBLING system for content we were all expecting to be part of the main loot pool of the game. The bright dust value of all the Eververse content is over $10,000! What????!! I don’t need to list all the other things you need to change back like weapon rolls etc.. get together and sort it out!! Don’t for a single second dismiss your original fan base for the naive new crowd that don’t know what this revolution is all about. Bless them all for buying into this game because I myself like many others I’m sure actually want to see his game do well but this is too far. Far too far. Shame on you.

Huge difference there. Battlefront was not only a pay to win model, it was a pay to play as well. To unlock the “super” characters, you either had to grind for days to use... and when you finally unlock, let’s say Vader, you could go into the game and die immediately... then have to grind for days to be able to use him again. Eververse is cosmetic and little extras... just like most other rpg/mmos. Not saying this to support it, just pointing out the stark contrast between micro transactions.

It's very simple nobody is forcing you to buy anything. If u don't like eververse don't buy it. I never understood why u have a small percentage constantly complaining
-
Let’s see here.... EA: publisher, Bungie: developer, Activision: publisher.
-
EA was responding to Disney’s threat to yank their license to make Star Wars game’s. That goes away, and EA literally cant (legally) sell the game.
-
Disney threatened to pull EA's license to use Star Wars in their video game... so 'now you know and knowing is half the battle'
-
Edited by MidsizeDragon99: 1/5/2018 6:18:07 PMThat was because Battlefront was a Star Wars game, and stars wars is owned by DISNEY. You NEVER wanna piss off Disney.

From EA's own press release it stated that crystal purchases would return as they figured out their path forward. Translation: The game was built around crystal purchases as a main money maker so undoing that will take a lot of time which is why they have not returned yet. IMO Same with Bungie. If the game was built around eververse it will take a lot of time to rebuild their business and revenue model for the game if they are going to change it. As consumers we say "screw em they earn enough money" but it far more complicated than that.

Edited by BADMAGIK: 1/5/2018 6:18:08 PMFirst, there's nothing wrong with Eververse. It's cosmetic and has no affection gameplay. Grow up. Second, EA's situation didn't roll into Christmas and New Years. Again, grow up. Third, stop whining.

EA also lost $3 Billion
-
I think it was Disney Interactive Media chairman Jimmy Pitaro making a call to EA head Andrew Wilson about the Battlefront 2 situation that was the reason for the change. If Star Wars had been EA's own property then I think things would have panned out differently. I certainly wouldn't hold EA in any high regard for changing things round.
-
Well hold on to your panties, I'm sure the disappointment train hasn't made it's last stop to The Last City.
-
Edited by Quaddity: 1/4/2018 8:36:56 PMHuge difference, you can't compare SWBF2's pay to win system putting powerful characters behind loot boxes to cosmetic junk in eververse. #YouAreNotVeryBright

Bungie host a live stream and talk to your community
-
They're not back in the office, yet. They told us this... They're going to follow up on the 11th, after everyone is back from holiday.
-
I know a few people that work at EA and they told me that they worked throughout the holiday break and Christmas day. Some worked on location, some worked from home. But they worked. Not applauding them but at least they took initiative to fix their game.
-
no shit? well one was "P2W" and the other is 'just cosmentic"

Bungie also doesn’t have Disney leaning on their nuts.......
-
"EA reacted faster". Yes, they did. Probably because this #removeeververse crap started on Christmas Eve...
-
Reddit didn’t start in on EA at Xmas week either... I’m not saying they’re going to be that fast but it’s kind of obvious why nothings been done in the last week. Stop being a child. Wait it out or leave.
-
Once again, you kids compare Battlefront 2 to Destiny 2 and say EA reacted faster and EA responded. NO! EA ONLY RESPONDED BECAUSE THEY WERE DRAGGING THE STAR WARS NAME IN THE MUD AND DISNEY FORCED THEM. YOU IDIOTS ARE SO STUPID!!! If Battlefront 2 was an original IP, EA wouldn't have cared less. That's why Bungie is dragging their feet because Destiny is their IP and they can keep dragging their own name in the mud all they want, they don't care.
-
Difference: Their game hadn't even launched and was going to suffer due to the negativity. Bungie already have your money and are laughing all the way to the bank (and were also on vacation when all of this happened so weren't here to see its initial impact).
-
EA are bitches tho, i actually have a new found respect for how bungie is handling this whole incident. They're bossing it right now. They have made you all look rather silly, bluff called, your move. Deej out.
