[i]The sight only shocked Zane a bit, since he saw worse in the time he served in the military.[/i]

“Ugh...jeez...” Baker said weakly, wiping his mouth with his sleeve. “I guess shit like this doesn’t bother you as much...eh?”

"I've seen worse, this is nothing to me....Let's keep moving, hold your breath and you'll be fine. Just look at my back, don't let your eyes wander."

“Yea...alright sure.” Baker agreed, moving behind Zane as he held both his hands to his face. There was a door at the end of the hall, it too coated with blood.

[i]He approached the door, placing a hand on the slick surface.[/i] "Get ready kid, whoever did this is likely behind this door."

“Ya, Maybe. Gunna give it a scan?” Baker asked. “Why wouldn’t he? He’s done it for every other door.” Dani stated.

"Don't need to scan for what I know. See enough battles, stop enough bad guys and you'll know when you're about to fight something. You'll be able to feel the malice in the air."

“Whoa. Spooky.” Baker commented as he grasped his bow, it repeating the same actions as before. “How do you wanna do this, then?”

"I'll engage whatever it is and try to keep it's attention. While I'm fighting, stay back and attack it from afar." [i]He drew his buster sword and clenched it tightly, preparing for battle. Whoever was behind the door had little regard for human life. He had to stop it, but also make sure baker lived.[/i]

“....alright, got it. With this guy it was dead or alive, so take your pick. After all the life he’s taken himself, I’ll have no quarrel with a dead man.” Baker told Zane, half drawing his bow already.

"He dies. There was no reason to kill these men, the question though is that if necessary could you deliver a fatal blow? Taking a life ain't an easy thing to do."

“Nah, not my style.” Baker would respond almost immediately. “I can take him down, I was just saying that you don’t have to hold back.”

"Oh believe me..." [i]His armor hissed as he released his limiters, and it glowed as his shield came online.[/i] "I won't be. Let's do this." [i]He raised his leg and kicked down the door, the heavy brass making a large bang.[/i]

The door flew forward, crashing on the ground and denting as it made a path out of the dust that was on the ground. As Zane entered, baker moved in swiftly behind him, moving to the right of the entrance. Upon entry into the large circular room, there sat a man on a pedestal. He was old, maybe in his fifties. He had dark black hair that began to grey, and his old eye lids were closed. In the room were bodies and bodies, likely twenty of them. However, they were not dead. All of them were alive. The man chuckled as the two entered “Ah...fresh meat...” He would say slowly. “My little creatures can feed then...hehe. Hahaha. HAHAHAHA!” He laughed, still keeping his eyes closed as everyone in the room began to stir awake from their slumber. Without hesitation, baker fired a blunt arrow. But... It was stopped. It pinged off the air five feet in front of the man, revealing a domed shield around him. “....Crap.” Baker said.

"Dont worry about the shield, leave that to me. Use your stun dart to take down these hostages before they surrounded us." [i]He formed and threw multiple concussive grenades at the possessed cultists, attempting to slow them down long enough for Baker to knock them out.[/i]

“I only have three more stun darts!” Baker Yelled as he shot at three of the men, shocking them back into unconsciousness. Meanwhile the rest were still disoriented from being awoken in such a fashion. “And no, I GOT THE SHIELD! You get to smacking them silly!” Baker exclaimed. “Just make sure to cover me!” Suddenly Baker got on one knee and raised his hand up to the shield, and a large beam of blue light shot from his hand and into the shield, coating it in a blue light.

[i]Zane dashed in and went to work, bouncing between the possessed cultists while hitting them with the flat of his blade.[/i]

He managed to take down six of the twenty, before the test of them stood up. However they were still getting their bearings.

[i]He continued to bounce between the cultists, striking hard and fast. [/i]

He took out another four, but that still left ten. And now, all of them saw Zane. One of them became imbued with electricity, and sent forth lightning from his hands and towards Zane. Another began to speed towards him, as fast as a car and with a sickle in hand.

[i]With grace he sidestepped the man charging at him and slammed him with the flat of his blade. The lighting however would strike his shield, damaging it. He dashed forward with his buster sword held by his side, ready to cut through the next magical attack.[/i]

However as he went to strike, he felt a powerful blow to his left, which sent him soaring through the air and crashing into the wall, getting stuck in it so his feet were half a foot off the ground. As he looked to his left, he saw One of the men have a massive piece of stone for a fist.

[i]Once again his shielding took most of the damage, but the heavy hit weakened it severally. He used his thrusters to break out of the wall, charging at the stone fisted man. [/i]

Zane however would feel another surge of electricity contact his shield as the stone fist winded up for a strike. One of the men began to fly into the air, a bow and arrow in hand. Along with the electricity, arrows began to fire at Zane.

[i]Zane leapt up into the air, cutting through the lighting and arrows. He opened a small portal Into his personal vault and grabbed a new grenade that he had been experimenting with. He tossed the new grenade at the stone fisted man, and when it made contact it froze him solid. It appeared that he had created a cryo grenade, and it was very effective. [/i]

The flying man quickly moved out of the way of Zane, continuing to fire arrows at him. With two of the ten down, there were still another six who hadn’t attacked Zane. A new one now slapped the air, and before Zane could realize he saw a massive purple hand form in the air and smack him across the room.
