"I couldn't blame you honestly..." Bedlam kept the scratching going while he gazed into Alpha's eyes with a gentle smile.

She looked back, smiling "hm...."

Bedlam seemed to get lost in her eyes for a moment, his scratching slowing down a little as he leaned in a little unconsciously.

Alpha stopped "Bedlam. Bedlam!" She said, loudly

"What?!" Bedlam blinked a few times, taking a small step back. "Sorry, spaced out."

She cleared her throat "Yeah, noticed that"

He got a little red in the face. "Yeah, so...." Bedlam averted his gaze and rubbed the back of his neck.

"....I dunno. I'm single now, too. Just seems a bit awkward." She said, laughing a little and looking down

"Sorry, I'll stop. I didn't mean to...y'know, do anything." Bedlam nervously laughed. "I guess I'll go?"

"C'mon." She said, as if making up her mind ".....just stay, for a while."

"Oh, alright. Not like I have anywhere to go." He shrugged, sitting down on the ground with a groan. "I'm rather tired from all that tourney sh*t still."

"Let's not talk about it." She said quickly, to change the subject "So what's been going on with you?"

"Trying to figure out why my eyes turned blue and why the hell I can't do most of what I could before. I feel like a defenseless moron now."

She shrugged "Not complaining here."

He shook his head. "I'm more worried about my friend Panta than myself honestly. She has no ability to defend herself so what happens if I can't protect her?"

"Teach her to fight." She said, shrugging

"Yeah, a tiny 15 year old girl is going to fight off people like us without any powers." He said sarcastically.

"I didn't have any powers when I went up against a super-human guy and gal, plus their squad of troopers." She pointed out "Powers dont mean shit"

"Did you have training with firearms, big guns, and advanced armor?"

"Just my rifle, and my improvised armor." She said "It wasn't really training."

"Huh. Luck also takes people pretty far...Either way, Panta isn't a fighter. She's just a little girl, Alpha."
