Back when I was a kid video games were $50. 00 USD. That's equivalent to over $90.00 today. Over the last 25 years the budget for games has grown substantially. We used to see teams of 10 to 30 people give me a single player campaign over 8 hours long for well over what 90 dollars in today's currency. Now we're looking at a whole company, in this case BUNGIE, that literally is expected to continue to produce content to keep you constantly entertained WHILE PAYING THEIR WORKERS ENOUGH TO FEED THEIR FAMILIES. I bet you all watched star wars this month. Take all the money you paid on watching star wars, divide it by the hours the movie lasted. Take all the money you spent on destiny and divide it by the hours you played destiny. I would be shocked if you didnt end up near just over a dollar or two per hour of entertainment. This endless complaining about bungie selling cosmetic upgrades TO MAKE THE MONEY THEY NEED TO PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES is ridiculous. Blizzard doesn't get crap over their micro transaction system despite how simular it is. Hearthstone constructed is clearly Pay to Win and nobody says a word. I'm assuming most of the anti eververse people on this forum are children because they actually have the time to pull this crap. Grow up.

  • When I pay $20 for an expansion I expect everything to be in game and not behind a pay wall. But instead I paid $20 for all of the cosmetics to be behind a pay wall. It doesn't matter if it's cosmetic or not if I paid $20 for everything in the expansion it doesn't need to be behind a pay wall.

When I was a kid and payed $50 for mario kart 64 I didn't have to gamble for a red shell upgradeea ch time I decided to try -blam!-ing bowser. This culture of micro-transactions is literally damaging the next generation and its time someone with authority stepped in.

  • Lol your post sucks. You didn't have to gamble for skins and dances. There were no skins and dances in that game. Your argument sucks. I'm assuming you are 14 right?

  • I agree with him. Games may only be $10 more than they were before, but they also take in a lot more money in sales and DLC sales (which didn’t exist back then). There is NO EXCUSE for microtransactions. Plenty of games with huge teams, made successful games without greedy microtransactions, and I’ve been playing games since 1992 on my Famicom
