Why are people so helpless? Your very weak argument is that since other bigger atrocities exsist we as a humanity shouldnt pay mind to the smaller ones? And yall reserve the right call OP "stupid" and the such? The small problems lead to big problems. Today its microtransactions. Tomorrow a 15$ a month sub fee for a game you already spent 60$. Sweep it under the rug and buy silver if you so feel compelled due to the sheer lack of mental capabilities to envision the outcomes of what these microtransactions may flower into. So yes people in the world are starving, and yes its a tragedy. But for centuries people flourished without supermarkets and without the Worlds governments say so or even existence. Awesome idea, Bungie donates ALL silver purchases to starving children.... Problem solved.

And feeding everyone is? You cant help those that cant help themselves... You can however save your people from the hands of greed and the two most often coincide. Capitalism in general, which is the underlying issue to both hunger and loot boxes, should be regulated. So on the surface yes starvation is worse than microtransactions but they are two heads to the same demon. Kill one and the other still lives, kill the demon and they both die. We could feed the hungry and poor but they wont pay us. In a world that worships money humanity is dead.

Yes, it is. That is one of the main goals of the charter for the United Nations. This issue would better be handled by the FCC rather than the UN. Lets use the right tool for the job.

So people who cant feed themselves is more important than protecting the consumer from the corruption of free market? "The UN Charter sets out four main purposes: Maintaining worldwide peace and security. Developing relations among nations. Fostering cooperation between nations in order to solve economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian international problems."

I’d rather see a 15$ sub fee than over 1/2 of the newly obtainable gear locked behind MTX. Everyone has a different mindset.
