The boltor blew him back a foot, his back armor slightly hurt from the fire, though it was thicker and offered more protection. He flicked his right hand and the axe came back- however with his opponent located once more, he charged forward, firing three bullets in the direction the boltor shot fired from.

  • The boltor vanished as Bedlam summoned the ward to redirect the bullets back at Dale once more. He then began to walk away, forming an illusion of himself where he just stood with a boltor. The only defining trait of the illusion being the fact that the eyes were silver rather than Bedlam's red eyes.

  • As Dale charged, the bullets plinked on him yet again, a constant struggle. However instead of swinging the axe at Bedlam, he threw it directly at the illusion, calling it back as soon as it entered the body.

  • The illusion fell over, making a fake grunt of pain as Bedlam continued to slip through the fog. He made his way behind Dale as he was distracted.

  • Boom. The signature sound of Dale's feet leaving the ground rang out as he sprung forward shoulder charging the illusion and attempting to push it into the night like fog.

  • Dale would just fly through the illusion, hitting nothing, but air. Meanwhile; Bedlam fired the boltor three times at Dale's back.

  • They would explode and launch him forward. His back armor would be damaged by the shots, but not as much as the front armor was. Skidding to a stop, Dale pushed off the ground, away from the shots and placing his back to the pillar once more. Axe in hand, he searched for a signal with his sight and smell. Obviously, Bedlam had messed with his nose, so Dale chose something different. He'd smell where Bedlam was, or rather, where he was not. Bedlam was not where he appeared to be, so Dale would simply be ready for the next shots to come from a direction where Bedlam wasn't. Knowing this, he'd be able to react faster to his opponent's actions.

  • Bedlam's boltor vanished again as he sensed Dale's movement, trying to think of a way to take down his opponent that was now using the pillar to cover his back. He formed yet another illusion, this one firing a round at Dale from his left side, but it missed him by a mere inch. Bedlam used this distraction to quickly move to Dale's right.

  • Dale, seeing the round, fired the rest of his clip at the darkness, and at the illusion Bedlam had placed up. Tightly gripping his axe, he flipped it in his hand. Now that he knew his opponent had illusions, he would have to be more careful.

  • Bedlam got on one knee before firing the boltor at Dale's right leg and immediately rolling to the side to avoid the axe that was likely to be thrown.

  • Dale fell the the ground, on one knee, pushed against the pillar. Throwing the axe would be pointless in a game of hide and seek. He quickly a ended up the pillar, landing on top with the thousand toddlers. Any single one that touched him was shocked by the battery, which he had turned back on. For now they stayed out of his way as he made his path to the center.

  • "Honestly, he probably should've done that sooner....Though, I didn't even think about him going back up the spire until now." Bedlam shrugged, slowly walking around the spire as he thought of his next move and saved some energy.

  • With the spare time, Dale reloaded his gun for its somewhat useless ranged attack, and looked into the fog. Bedlam would have to come from one of the three sides of the pillar, but not the one where he could smell him in. Unless he landed on the pillar itself, which would probably a bad idea.

  • Bedlam sighed and looked up at the tower. He knew going up there meant possible death, so he had to think of something. Unsure of what to do, he had an illusion with tinted sunglasses fly up and land on the spire, the glasses meant to hide the silver eyes.

  • Dale saw the illusion come up and land on the spire, and smiled to himself. Bedlam had not disillusioned the hundreds of toddlers covering every inch of the floor except where Dale was, so it went right through them. The giant of a man called out into the dark. "You hide, Bedlam. Do you intend to win out of cowardice?"

  • The illusion shrugged, walking a bit closer and talking. "Well, how else do you expect me to win? I can't exactly fight you with my fists, now can I?"

  • "And you expect me to win a game of cat and mouse, but if the mouse had blindfolded the cat, and had a deadly explosion gun." Dale fired a single bullet into the illusion's head, in a meager attempt to have it go away.

  • The illusion vanished, but Bedlam's voice remained. "Well, that's the point. I kinda wanna win now." Dale heard a pebble land on the top of his head. "So, you coming down or what?"

  • "Coming down would spell doom in capital letters. I don't intend to put myself in a deadly situation either." Dale looked up, but finding nothing, returned his glance to the horizon ahead of him, and behind him.

  • "Should I start throwing explosives up there then? You have such little room to move..." Bedlam chuckled, thinking that was actually a rather good idea.

  • "You could, but this is about eighteen feet in each direction. You'd kill only the toddlers." Dale kept a trained eye, a relaxing moment to reload was already taken care of.

  • "Good thing they're not real!" Bedlam formed a M32 grenade launcher in his hands and began firing the grenades upwards at the spire so they'd fall on the top.

  • "Pah! Too proud for sitting up here and wearing myself away." The grenades would tear through most of his a roe and destroy both the battery on his back, as well as the thousand toddlers on top. Dying in baby blood, huh? Well, better than dying in the desert... Again. Dale chucked at the thought as he lay on the top of the pillar, coughing. E lay sparked out, and threw his gun off the pillar. Playing the axe upon his chest, he waited after he called to his opponent. "Alright, I give up. Go ahead and end it, all this ol' body is doing is dragging things out. Kill me with a spear or whatever, just grant a last request, and don't kill me with the same injuries... That's lame."

  • "Aw! No arm ripping and stomach impalement?!" Bedlam teleported himself straight to Dale's side, smiling down at the man in a friendly manner. He stretched out a hand to him. "Come on, I'm not striking a man that's laying down. Honestly, I didn't even join this thing to win....Somewhere along the way I must've lost myself and got too competitive." He chuckled weakly, his eyes turning a bright blue rather than his old red. "I don't regret entering though, the experience has been rather educational. Also, I wouldn't have met such interesting people...even if they were trying to kill me."

  • With a groan, Dale took Bedlam's hand to raise himself up, the axe falling to the ground. Letting go, he spread his arms out. "I'm getting older by the second, here pal."

  • "Yeah yeah..." Bedlam sighed, forming the Infinity Sword in his hands. In a few fluid motions, he slashed through Dale's neck and then turned around, stabbing the sword backwards into the man's chest before pulling it out with a twirl. "I wonder how Grant would've reacted to me winning..."
