And a suprise attack it was. A group of Mandolorians, wearing the sigil of Clan Grey, were in the area scavenging for supplies. Upon the Corpus group entering the throne room, several Mandos emerged from the sides and opened fire on the ground that was gathered.

The Corpus Crewman returned fire, using charred rubble as cover, as one of them was immediately shot down by Mandalorian fire. One specific Crewman threw a grenade in the scavenging team’s direction.
-
One of the Mandolorians rolled out of cover to escape the grenade, which put them directly in front of the Gunfire from Corpus. They fell backwards as the grenade went off. However, a specific Mandalorian (helmet on) retaliated by throwing a grenade of their own. Directly into the center of the Corpus group.
-
”Uh Oh.” was the response of one of the Crewman, three of them blowing up into chunks and pieces...leaving one in the back to switch to his Grenade launcher, firing off a few rounds.
-
The Mandolorians were spread out too thin and dodged the fire for the grenade launcher to actually be effective. Before he knew it, two of the Mandolorians were upon him, jumping and tackling the trooper to the ground.
-
The Crewman was taken down, his Grenade launcher flying out of his hands, as yelled out the equivalent of gibberish at the Mandalorians.
-
"Son of a..." One of the Mandolorians muttered, punching the Corpus trooper in the helmet. "If you're going to curse, curse in Mandolorian." The woman who had tossed the grenade commented, walking up and looking down at the soldier. "Apologies ma'am, still don't understand why it's so important for us to remember." "Because, Books.... Because it's a language. Language should never die." The woman knelt down in front of the Corpus trooper and snapped her fingers, trying to gain its attention.
-
”What?” was the Corpus Trooper’s statement...in Corpus language, snapping toward whoever had snapped at him.
-
"Ah so you're a Corpus trooper. I always knew stealing that Tenno ship in Dimension 17-11 would come in handy!" The woman said with a warm chuckle. "You stole that ship? I thought you said you won it in a poker game." "Quiet, Books. Hello, my name is Emilia Grey. I want to know what the Corpus is doing here... With dead storm troopers."
-
”We’re simply trying to settle a valuable asset. Nothing more.” the Trooper tells them, clearly content for not saying much more.
-
"A valuable asset.." Emilia mumbled, looking up at the Mandolorian named Books. "See what you can find. Maybe the body of a dead man or something..." Emilia looked back down at the trooper before standing tall and aiming the blaster at its leg. She fired a single shot, hoping that the Corpus trooper would react to that.
-
****, ***** ****** ************ *****!” was the Trooper’s response, his leg caving and his shields disappearing as a result of it.
-
"I'll ask you this once. Exactly once." Emilia happily stated, staring down at the trooper. He felt as though death itself was before him, come to reap his soul. "Why are you here? What's the exact reason? Don't sugar coat."
-
”The...Void Key. And of its master.” the Trooper tells her, most likely referring to Kiyala, the hidden Force user, merging her powers with the Void Key.
-
"Dad told me she was dead and the Void Key was gone..." Emilia muttered, looking at the trooper oddly. "You know where it is exactly?"
-
The Trooper pointed to the main chamber. It was clear that they were trying to take the broken Void Key and its user.
-
"Thanks for the help." Emilia fired a blaster shot into the head of the trooper, marching toward the main chamber. The Mandos followed behind her, leaving two with the person that was injured.
-
They were lead throughout the halls, almost reminiscing the events that happened just weeks before. The smell of Infested were to be prevalent, as echoes of voices long gone lightly touched their ears.
-
"Might I say..." A Mando in white armour with green Decal started. Only to be cut off by Emilia. "No... I'm leading this op. I asked you to be here as a formality, since you actually took part." "I am your father..." "No, you aren't. You are a version of my father, Nathaniel. You are not him." "Harsh words." Books stated, looking between the two as they walked. "It's irrelevant. You are a daughter OF mine. That counts for something. I fought alongside many others... I hear the voices of the dead here." "The dead are gone." Emilia coldly remarked, the group of now four continuing on.
-
Continuing on, they eventually found the massive door that lead to the main hall...with a dead clone, riddled with bullet shots on, a DH-17 pistol by his side. Bloodshot. The clone veteran who sacrificed himself to buy the rest of the group more time as the Imperials And Infested became more heavily contested there. And, despite his epic sacrifice, laid dead just outside the door, lifeless now.
-
"Son of a.." Nathaniel sighed, shaking his head and covering his visor with his hand, as if rubbing his eyes. "So many dead... Crow, Bloodshot, Cypher, Tug, Oracle... How many of us actually got away? Me, Bruiser... Who else?" Nathaniel began mumbling something, but stayed on topic as he pressed the keypad of the door, hoping it would open. "Too many, apparently." Books commented quietly, shaking his head as well and following Nathaniel.
-
I might as well confirm this before I continue. Cypher does survive. Along with Richter. Every other clone named other than your clones are dead.
The chamber opened to reveal a gunship in the window, the Corpus Leader not noticing the Mandalorians entering. Bipedal drones walked around, two of said Crewman removing the body of Kiyala over onto their gunship.
-
Ah okay. Bruiser was the only named clone I really had. Survived. Oracle and Mandolorian Crow are dead though.
"What is this..." Books whispered quietly, the four Mandos quickly ducking behind cover. "They're taking her body off station for some reason... Probably to study it, get the void key." Nathaniel responded, prepping his Boltor Prime.
-
The MOA’s spotted them, giving off some sort of mechanical whirr as they fired on the Mandalorians.
-
"Looks like we're fighting!" Nathaniel called, rolled out of cover and opening fire with his Boltor Prime. Books, Emilia and the fourth Mandolorian followed in suit, letting loose with their blasters and other weapons.
-
While the Crewman quickly ran the corpse into the drophsip, dropping half the Void Key onto the ground, the Sol Scrambus and the remaining two MOAs (as one of them collapsed) quickly returned fire.
