"Faster, John!"
"I can't just magically run faster, Fey!"
Bolts of solar energy skimmed the helmet of a Warlock as Vex shot at him from behind. He was running as fast as he could through the Black Garden, trying to find an exit as the whole place started to collapse. Rock and debris fell down to block his way, causing him to slide into it as he tried to stop himself.
"F*CK!"
The Vex had him cornered with no ability to fight back. His ammo was depleted, his light drained, and armour already scorched from prior skirmishes. The young Warlock stood up with raised fists as he panted, his hot breath smudging up the visor of his helmet.
"Hey, at least we completed the mission..." The Warlock stated, sounding a bit disappointed he wasn't going to live through this.
The female sounding Ghost replied, "I may have the ability to transport us into the ship from here, John, just...hang on. We've come this far, we can make it."
The Ghost tried to reassure her Warlock as the Vex closed in on his location, firing at will. The man sprinted forward with the little enrgy he had left, his legs burned and ached from having to work so hard for so long. He breathed heavily and coughed, barely able to move from exhaustion.
His shoulder bashed into the middle of a vex, hitting it in its weak spot just hard enough to kill it. He stumbled and rolled only to kick another vex in its weak spot at the end of the roll. The Warlock's mind turned into overdrive as he attempted to survive, trying to keep track of all the vex attacking him so he could dodge their shots and blasts from their hands.
It didn't take long for his attempts at dodging to fail as he felt a blast of solar energy melt away a part of one of his shins. He screamed in agony, falling to his knees with fear and pain racing through his head.
I'm going to die here....My Ghost couldn't possibly resurrect me with so many vex around.
Another blast hit his shoulder, causing another scream while his arm went limp.
At least the Darkness is defeated...
Rubble from way up above on the ceiling began to fall towards his position, exposing the bright blue sky of Earth as light crept in through the crack.
...We did it. We killed the Traveler.
As the Warlock was about to get crushed however, he vanished.
===============
It was another day at Dojoville as the Warlock appeared up in the sky just outside of the town. He glided a bit, but the fall was still extremely rough and cracked his helmet.
The townsfolk looked over for a second before shrugging, used to this sh*t by now.
"John, stay with me. I can heal this."
Fey, the Ghost, hovered over John's limp body as she began to heal him.
"Wait, who're you?"
The Ghost noticed you standing nearby, having almost been hit by the fallen Warlock.
"Sorry for almost crushing you, but my Warlock was in danger..."

Celkym would shake her head, as she motioned to lay her head against John, her one remaining eye allowing tears to be released. She sighed, repeatedly shaking her head as she tried to show.. affection, perhaps.
-
John leaned down and kissed her forehead as a sign of compassion as she rested her head on him. "Don't cry...smile. Life is good. You're free and alive!" He chuckled lightly.
-
Celkym sniffled a little, a feeble smile then appearing as she nodded. Her light cobalt face would blush a deep blue color in response to the kiss upon her forehead, though she would smile yet.
-
"There we go. That's a beautiful smile you've got there." John ran a hand through her hair. "Do you wish to sleep?"
-
The seemingly free, albeit helpless woman would think a little, before then nodding slightly, still attempting to smile yet. She seemed surprised at John's.. well, seemingly caring attitude. It was heroic, almost: to care for an enemy. To Celkym, anyway.
-
"Then why don't you shut your eyes and get some rest? I'll stay awake and watch over you. Sleep for as long as you like, I'll be patient." John turned his attention to those around him, looking out for the helpless woman.
-
The past Guardian would look up at John a little, smiling a little more at that before then closing her eyes. She would rest her being against John then, sighing a little to herself as sleep would overtake her. The bar seemed normal, afterwards. Except for some of the patrons beginning to leave, which would make John, Celkym, a waitress, and the bartender the last people within the bar. The lights began to flicker, only to be replaced by a red glare before returning to it's original gleam. It was hard to tell, but John could hear.. a humming, deep in the distance. Something was there, outside of the four people.
-
"And there goes the peace..." John whispered to himself, continuing to hold the vex guardian. His armor is weakened, his mind tired, but he'd make it. He was too determined at this point to die.

Edited by Weeaboo Of War: 12/12/2017 9:59:54 PMCelkym had begun to snuggle up a little, seemingly more comfortable. Yet as time passed, the waitress would soon leave, as the bartender would take a look at the resting Guardian. "Look, can't exactly.. keep you here, with your girl. You got a place to stay, or am I gonna have to trust you with staying here? Not lettin' a cripple and a weakened soldier sleep on the street."
-
"A soldier?" The Warlock looked over at the man before lowering his head and chuckling weakly. "I've got no where to go. Thank you, sir, for being so kind."
-
"Yeah, a soldier. That's what your lot is, right?" The bartender would nod as he would place the keys for the entrance on the counter, yet not including keys to the backroom, nor the safe nor the drinks behind the counter, before he would then leave the two. The red light would break through the regular lighting, soon almost becoming hazing to look at. Celkym would begin to shuffle uncomfortably, her right hand scrying for something to hold onto. A hand, likely.
-
John smiled a little and gently grabbed her hand, amused by her actions. He kept his head up and stayed alert as tfhe night went on. Am I a soldier now? He thought to himself, glancing at his open hand and stretching it.
-
Soon, morning came. When Celkym awoke, she shuffled about, that single light blue eye opening up as her thin grin would then shine upon John's being, as she mouthed "Good morning" to the man. In the background, there was a knock on the locked entrance to the bar. Someone was attempting to enter.
-
"Good morning." He smiled down at her weakly, tired from staying up all night watching over her. "Just lay here while I get the door." John moved her so she'd be comfortable laying by herself before moving to open the door.
-
Celkym would simply nod, as she then shuffled herself over so that she leaned against the bench as John went to open the door. When he did, he was met immediately by an outstretched, closed hand, with a gauntlet's flamethrower greeting him. "Tell me, right now, why I shouldn't roast you alive for kidnapping Cel." The armored woman muttered, staring at John as if awaiting a reaction, though she had taken her time to monologue. She seemed distracted yet, lowering her gauntlet a little as she looked back at Celkym, whom appeared to be fine and trying to calm her - both silently, and from afar.
-
"Uhhhh....Because I stayed up all night protecting her after fighting nonstop without sleep for the past three days?" John yawned, walking away from the door without shutting it. "She's fine."
-
"Ha, that's why she's-" A thrown ball, formed from a napkin, bounced off of the soldier's helmet. "Wow, Cel." Celkym smirked a little, shrugging. "...Look, I can hook her up, fix her up really. Get a guy to work on her limbs, then you two can.. I seriously don't know what you're doing here, but it's whatever."
-
"What do you mean?" John asked, sitting down and slouching over. He was glad the helmet was covering his sleep deprived face. "We just slept together here..."
-
"Slept together, huh? Already?" The woman laughed, her giggle muffled by her helmet as she shook her head a little. Celkym didn't seem to catch onto the joke until she would suddenly flush a dark blue color, leaning back as if embarrassed by what the soldier meant.
-
"What do you mean already? I'm too tired for this shi-oh! Now I get it. Nah, we didn't do anything like that. I'm not one to sleep with someone I don't know after they just tried to kill me earlier, no matter how cute that person may be." John rested his head on the table in front of him, groaning.
-
"Seriously? Christ, Cel, you missed your chance! Bet that mouth's still working, though.. could've gotten some action in still." Celkym had closed her eyes at this rate, her face now like a dark blue raspberry, her previous smile now an almost cringing, embarrassed expression. "Anyway.. I'll go ahead and take her up, whenever you're ready to let 'er go. She'll probably come scampering back to you, though, so get to running."
-
"Yeah yeah...I'm too tired. Go help her while I just sleep here..." John said, sounding only half awake as his body relaxed. "...I'll be waiting for you, Celkym."
-
Gonna assume that JT hooked her up with the regular prosthetics, lol.
When Celkym returned, she would open the door on her own, now standing. She was without her Vex armoring, a skintight black suit kept around her body. Her Vex eye was replaced by another synthetic one, one that worked this time. She smiled at John, blushing a little and shrugging.
-
The Warlock slowly lifted his head off the table from hearing the door open and looked up at her through his damaged helmet. "Oh...hey. Looks like you were taken care of. Might want to put on more than a skin tight suit though. You might give off the wrong idea to people."
-
Celkym looked down, blushing a little bit before sighing and sitting down with John. She would begin to use sign language, hoping that John would get it. Do you understand this?
